"Mum? Is everything okay?" Betty asked as she held the phone to her ear, placing down her stack of monopoly money on the table in a careful motion.

"Not exactly, Jules won't go to sleep. I've tried everything you told me but she hasn't seen either of you in two days and really misses you" Alice sighed, bouncing the little girl on her hip to keep her occupied. Betty exhaled glancing over at her husband who was making his next move before she got up and walked to the hall.

"Do you want us to come get her? V won't mind her staying here mum, and you've looked after her for a while now already" she offered, knowing they needed to work on Juliet being separated from her parents but she didn't want to rush it.

"I think that's best for now or she isn't going to get any sleep. I'm sorry for interrupting your evening honey" she apologized sheepishly. Betty soon ended the call and walked back into the lounge where her friends and husband sat.

"Jules isn't sleeping, she wants us. I'm gonna have to go get her" she explained, yawning tiredly as she grabbed her keys. It wasn't long before Jughead stopped her, taking the keys "Go sit back down, I'll get her. You deserve to relax"

"So do you Jug" she whispered as she looked up at him, stubborn as usual. She watched as he failed to reply, simply putting his shoes on and grabbing his keys. Accepting defeat, she sat back down with her friends and began her next turn; rolling a 5 and 4.

Meanwhile, Jughead swiftly left the mansion and got into his car to drive to his restless daughter. They had left her with Alice for the past two days, so he wasn't too surprised to find that she was now irritable without them. He turned up the radio, windscreen wipers clearing the view in the harsh rain that attacked his car.

"Hi Alice" he spoke, shivering in the cold rain as she quickly allowed him to enter her pristine house. He took off his damp jacket, delicately running his fingers through his messy mop of wet curls.

"Hi Jughead, she's just playing in the spare room. Sorry for asking you to come down here in the rain. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?" she asked as she took his jacket and hung it upon the hooks along the wall.

"No thanks I'm okay" he assured, taking off his shoes before he strolled upstairs. He pushed the door open to find his daughter sat babbling to her favourite teddy bear, blue eyes teary and sad.

"Hey munchkin" he whispered gently, watching in awe as her head snapped up in excitement.

"Dadda!" she giggled, struggling to get up before padding over to him on her hands and knees. He lifted her into his arms and held her tight, kissing her head.  "I mwissed y-you"

"I missed you too Jules, how about we go see mummy yeah? She's with aunty V and uncle Archie" he suggested with a wide grin. Her face practically lit up as she nodded her head quickly "Yeah!"

Once Juliet's belongings were packed up and she lay half asleep on her father's shoulder, he carefully tip toed downstairs being met with Alice who looked at them in awe. "She's so precious"

"She really is" he smiled kissing the little girl's head, slinging her bag over his free shoulder. "Thank you for taking care of her"

"It has been a pleasure" she assured, taking Juliet in her arms whilst he put his shoes on. The girl started whining and fidgeting "Shh honey your daddy is right here" Alice whispered, rubbing her back.

Once wrapped up warm to protect them from the chilling rain, Jughead strapped Juliet into her car seat and waved goodbye to Alice before setting off back towards Veronica's house. Juliet stayed quiet the whole journey which Jughead was extremely thankful for, turning the radio down to a low volume as he drove through the turbulent weather conditions.

Thankfully they made it back to Veronica's without any trouble, Jughead carefully getting the sleeping 2 year old out of her seat just in hope that she wouldn't stir. He slung her bag over his shoulder before locking up the car door, walking up to the large gates. He buzzed in and soon they creaked open, Betty waiting for him wrapped in a blanket at the large oak door.

"Hey baby girl" Betty cooed, lifting her out of Jughead's arms with ease to cuddle her daughter. Jughead kissed her forehead before entering the house, placing the bag down at the door and taking off his shoes as to avoid Veronica scolding him for damaging the freshly polished marble floors.

"Mama" Juliet mumbled as she started to wake, her tiny hands clutching at her mother's blonde locks. Betty smiled kissing her head as she closed the front door, patting her back whilst walking back to the sofa.

"Hey honey!" Veronica greeted as Betty sat down with Juliet in her lap, tapping her arm with her freshly manicured nails. Juliet giggled sleepily as she interacted with the raven haired woman and Archie, soon after her head falling back against her mother's shoulder. The four of them played another round of monopoly, Veronica winning once again.

"How are you so good at this?" Jughead chuckled, organising all the money into their separate piles.

"Lodges know how to handle their money" she shrugged with a smirk, receiving a kiss from Archie after her response. They all chuckled, teasing her as always, Jughead noticing how Betty was frequently yawning.

"We should go to bed, these two are tired" he grinned at his favourite girls. Once they said goodnight the family of 3 entered the guest room, placing Juliet down in her travel crib. "I missed her so much" Betty whispered, leaning over Juliet as her little fingers wrapped around her thumb.

"Me too, I don't like being away from either of you" Jughead murmured, holding Betty close "Let's go to bed, it's been a long day" he added, nudging his nose against her cheek. They soon curled up in bed, Betty clad in his t-shirt as she traced circles on his bare chest. It wasn't long before the exhausted parents slipped off into their own slumber, soothed by the peace that filled the air.
