A/N: here is some bughead fluff to cheer us all up! I've had a few messages asking whether I will continue writing and the answer is yes. I won't be watching episodes but I will be watching clips on instagram just for the next few to see what happens and how everything turns out. In my eyes bughead can survive this but I don't wish to watch the full episodes and will not do so. Now enjoy some cute bughead!!!

Betty Cooper was terrified of needles. She was so terrified that even the thought of them made her shiver and feel ill. Her anxiety would flare up and she would avoid every chance of one even being near her. So when the students of Riverdale High were given a letter to take home about school injections, Betty began to panic. Of course the injection was mandatory, meaning she had to take it when Alice Cooper signed the permission slip.

Her boyfriend of course knew about this fear and was there when she walked out of class, wrapping his arms around her. "You're gonna be okay. It'll just be a quick sting and then it'll be over. We can go home and cuddle whilst eating ice cream after if you want?" he smiled, trying to cheer her up. She nodded a little, his attempt sort of working. The worst part was the waiting, they didn't have the injections until another week so for the whole time Betty was anxious and felt sick a lot. It just wasn't a good week for her.

The day came around and the students were sat in a line of chairs outside the medical room, Betty bouncing her knee nervously as Jughead held her hand securely, his thumb rubbing the back of her hand. She'd had injections as a kid and either ran out before they could put the needle in or she'd faint during it. "Hey, you're okay. You're gonna be okay" Jughead assured, wrapping an arm around her and kissing her cheek a few times. She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, trying to calm down. Her anxiety levels were through the roof and she didn't know what to do to calm herself down.

"Elizabeth Cooper?" the nurse called out, walking out with a previous student who'd just received the injection. "Betts go on, I'll be right here" he assured. She shakily stood up and trailed into the medical room, fiddling with her thumbs as her head hung low.

A few minutes later Jughead saw the nurse walk out without Betty. "Jughead Jones?" she called out. He gave her a confused look but stood up and walked over to her. "Elizabeth won't let me do her injection so I asked if she wanted anyone, she said you" the nurse explained.          Jughead nodded and walked in with her, finding Betty sat in a chair shaking. "Oh Betts" he sighed, picking her up and sitting on the chair, putting her on his lap. "Sshh it's okay, I've got you" he soothed, her burying her head in his neck as the nurse prepared the needle. He held her tight as the needle went into her skin, Betty letting out a sob.

The nurse soon took the needle out and put a plaster on her arm. "It's over honey" the woman smiled. "If it aches just take some pain relief tablets, paracetamol or something" she advised. Betty nodded and took her head out of Jugheads neck, him wiping her tears and kissing her cheek. "I'm sorry for being such a baby about it" she sniffled. "Oh no i'ts fine darling. Loads of people are terrified and react worse, I know it's not exactly a nice experience" the nurse assured with a smile. "I'm gonna get mine done and then we'll go, okay baby?" Jughead smiled. She nodded and left the room, not wanting to see the injection take place.

After Jughead had the injection he took Betty home and cuddled with her on the couch. "You really like that stuff" he chuckled, watching her eat the tub of ice cream. "It helps when a nurse just stabbed me with a needle" she defended, eating another spoonful. "I love you Betty Cooper" he laughed, holding her tight. "I love you too, thank you for today. It would've gone way worse if it wasn't for you" she smiled, putting the ice cream down and snuggling into his chest. "Always" he responded. Of course Betty was still terrified of needles and she always would be, but knowing that he was always there for her whether it was an injection or something way worse made her a little less scared about the future.
