That stone cold glare sent shivers through Betty's body. He only ever looked at her with pure love in his eyes but this...this wasn't even close to love. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw him turn away and walk straight back through the doors.

"Leave him be Betty" Archie spoke, shaking his head. "No you- you don't understand. None of you do, just let me explain" she pleaded, looking between her two best friends. "B...you left us. You didn't even say goodbye" Veronica mumbled, looking down at the floor. "Please V, I can explain everything. Just meet me at Pop's, 4pm today and bring Juggie. I will explain it all and then you can stop talking to me forever if you want to, but at least give me a chance" she begged. She'd already had her baby taken away so losing her friends would break her already cracked heart even more: though if they didn't want anything to do with her she would understand that. She just needed to tell them the truth, knowing her mother had been spoon feeding them lies for months. It was time for it all to stop and for the people that truly loved her to know what had happened to her all those months ago.

"4pm, no later" Veronica nodded before she pulled Archie away. She took a deep breath and grabbed her locker key, ignoring everyone's stares as she put her books away and walked down the corridors that she had actually come to miss after so long. The rest of the school day was a blur, just the teens of Riverdale High conjuring their own ideas about why golden girl Betty Cooper was back and whether she was going to stay. Of course none of them got it right, simply because the truth was so messed up. So after a horrible first day back the blonde sat in Pop's in the old booth she use to share with her friends, tapping her fingertips against the table as she waited. She didn't even know if they were able to convince Jughead to show up but she just had to hope they could.

The bell that hung over the door to the diner rang out, her head shooting up to see Archie, Veronica and Jughead trailing behind the couple. She gulped when she made eye contact with him, fiddling with her necklace nervously. All three of them sat opposite her, never having felt so intimidated by her friends. They waited for her to say something, all sat in silence as she looked between them. "Hey guys, thank you for coming" she smiled, receiving a nod from Archie and Veronica but nothing from Jughead. "I know you're probably really confused..and probably angry with me. I- I shouldn't be telling you any of this because I promised not to but, but I want my friends back. I want you to know what really happened" she sighed, tightening her ponytail. "Whatever you've been told, it's all lies. I was at the farm, not with family" she spoke which caused Jughead to finally look up. "You were at the farm? Why were you there?" Veronica asked worriedly, her tone softening. "My mum sent me there, she made me stay there but she wouldn't let me tell any of you" she sniffled, tearing up at the memories. Veronica immediately moved over to her side of the booth and hugged her tightly "Oh B, I'm so sorry. Don't be upset, it's okay" she assured as the two girls held onto each other. Betty wiped her tears and sighed as Archie spoke up "But why were you sent there?" he asked quietly, still not understanding.

Betty hesitated, having wanted to tell Jughead this in private but in truth they were all owed an explanation. She looked at Jughead directly, his stone cold glare turning to a sad smile as he gazed back at her, "I- I was pregnant" she whispered, a small gasp leaving Veronica's mouth as the other two became speechless. "It was Juggie's...she found out and she took me to the farm to keep it a secret" she explained. The group went silent, everyone waiting for someone to speak up. Veronica noticed Jughead tearing up so she got up and took Archie's hand "We'll give you two some space" she smiled, leading Archie away from the booth and over to one across the diner so they could talk in private. Betty had no clue what to say, until this very moment she'd only seen Jughead cry twice in her life which was crazy to her because she'd known him since they were kids.

"Juggie.." she breathed out, reaching over the table and taking his right hand in hers. He slowly slid out of his side of the booth, letting go of her hand and sitting on her side of the booth "It's okay if you want to go" she mumbled but was soon wrapped in a tight hug. She smiled and flung her arms around his neck, letting her tears fall as she clung to him tightly. She hadn't hugged him in so long, hadn't felt his touch or breathed in his familiar scent. The two were a mess of sobs and sniffles as they held onto each other like they would never let go "I was going to be a dad" he mumbled as he wiped her tears with his thumbs "No Juggie, you are a dad. You're  a dad to a beautiful baby girl" she smiled softly, taking a picture out of her pocket that was captured on Juliet Jones' day of birth. "They let me have a few hours with her so I took some pictures, her name is Juliet Jones and she's currently at the sisters" she explained as he took the picture. "You used Jones?" he asked, crying more tears. "Of course Juggie, and we're going to get her back. She's not staying there, its a place of torture" Betty refused. She wanted to ask where they stood in terms of their relationship, what this all meant for them, but she knew it was the wrong time and getting their baby back was way more important right now.
