1 week later; the day before valentine's day
draco has spent every morning with pansy but he makes sure to see elizabeth first. though, his father has now turned the trainings into two times a day; morning and evening. which means less time for elizabeth and draco, and more time for draco to worry. the dreams have gotten worse and some nights he can't run to elizabeth, so he sits in his bed waiting until it's morning so he can go see her.

elizabeth has tried to control the nagging feeling of jealousy, with pansy taking up all of draco's time she's sure he's forgotten about valentine's day. she won't complain though, she doesn't want to be the reason for him getting hurt again. the evenings she spends alone give her time to think of her life. her life without draco. the life that she hates oh so much. her father throwing her out. her mother not caring enough to write her back. though, she spends some evenings with cam and the rest of the group, laughing and enjoying each other's company.

snape's voice echos in my ears, going in one ear and out the other. he talks on and on about something i don't even care about. my thoughts are only on getting out of here and getting ready for the party esmeray is throwing. "class dismissed" the two words i've been waiting to hear finally are spoken. i stand up and grab my books before walking out of the room.

"liz, are you still coming tonight" esmeray asks and i nod "yeah, draco is with pansy tonight so i have nothing else to do" i shrug and she laughs "i still don't understand how you are okay with him being with her all of the time" she shakes her head. "i'm not but he doesn't have to know that' i laugh and she nods "okay, see you tonight" she smiles before walking towards the hufflepuff common room.

i walk into the common room and smile as i see draco on the couch "hello, elizabeth" he smiles up at me. "hey, aren't you supposed to be with pansy" i ask and he nods "yes, i just wanted to see you first" he stands up and i smile "well i was about to get ready to go to a party with esmeray" i say and he looks at me. "alright, well be safe" he says before kissing me. "i will. love you" i say and he smiles "I love you too" he walks out of the common room.

after i get dressed and feel like i look the best i can, i walk out to the common room. "elizabeth, you look nice" i hear someone say and i look to see blaise sitting at the table. we haven't spoken much but i've seen him around. "thanks" i shrug as i go to wlak out the common room "have a nice night" he sighs as i leave.

esmeray lets me into the hufflepuff common room, the smell of firewhiskey burns my nose. the music rings in my ears and i can't even imagine how meaner silencing spells she's used. theirs a long table filled with cups and drinks, small snacks (all heart shaped of course). "go get yourself a drink, have fun" she smiles and i nod as i walk towards to table. i notice a kai on the dance floor already, drink in his hand. caleb just sits on the couch, talking to a few people.

as i pour myself a drink cam walks up to me "good evening, liz" he smiles, grabbing a cup for himself. "hello, cam" i laugh as i look at him and take a sip of my drink. "draco with pansy again" he asks and i nod "but you know what, that's alright. i'm here and i'm going to have fun" i smile and he nods "cheers to that." he puts his cup up and hits it against mine before we both drink. "shall we dance" he asks and i laugh as i nod, grabbing his hand. "we shall" i joke and he laughs, pulling me to the dance floor.

after a lot more drinks and dancing so long my feet feel like they could fall off i finally call it a night. the clock saying it's almost midnight agrees with me. "see you tomorrow" esmeray slurs as i walk out of the common room and i laugh.

slowly i make my way to the common room, flopping on the couch once i get there. "you should really watch your alcohol" someone laughs and i open my eyes to see blaise, still at the table. "you should mind your own business" i snap back and he shrugs "just speaking, elizabeth. you don't have to snap at me" he says and i laugh. "you didn't have to beat me to the ground but you still did" i roll my eyes. "can't you just forget about that" he groans and i laugh "yeah, totally. forgotten" i stand up and he looks at me. "go to your room before you puke on me" he says and i roll my eyes as i walk up the stairs to my room.

i shut the door and sigh as i look at my empty room. god it's so boring. a note on the desk stands out to me and as the blurriness in my vision calms down i can see that it's from draco.

       i'm sorry but i won't be able to stay with you tonight. i know tomorrow is valentine's day and i know i've been a really shitty boyfriend recently but i'll make it up to you. of course i have to help my father tomorrow morning but i've scheduled a dinner at the resturaunt i took you too the other week. so please, meet me there at six and i'll make it the best valentine's ever. i love you.

i smile at the letter, he didn't forget. he makes it impossible to stay mad at him. i hate it.
