For the next two days while Ashton was sick lying on the bedroom floor everyone else was finishing the paint job of the different rooms so they could finally start putting furniture in the house. He would watch them all come back and forth carrying buckets of paint while he would either be coughing or sleeping.
"Hows he doing?" Sophia asked Kyleigh
"He's okay, he hasn't been coughing much and he's not sweating as much anymore"
"Okay we're making progress and hopefully he'll be good to perform next week" Sophia said with hope
While Kyleigh was playing nurse and the guys were in the studio Sophia and Mackenzie were helping Sapphire get ready for her 1 year anniversary date with Luke. Plus, Mackenzie thought it'd be sweet if she got him a present for their date tonight.
"I don't want to buy him something though" Sapphire said
"Then what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know but i'll think of something fast"
"How do you know Luke isn't going above and beyond for you tonight?"
"I don't but I trust my gut and if i don't have that then all this is for nothing" Sapphire said looking through the clothes that she had left in the house
"You better hurry or you'll be late for practice i'll hang your stuff up for you" Mackenzie said
"Thank you so much" Sapphire said hugging Mackenzie as she left the house

Sapphire got to practice and did her usually team run and intense stretch with them and then her coach called them all together to talk for a while before starting.
"Okay so a few of you have been chosen to play tonight at an elite college that offers field hockey scholarships for certain players on Long Island. And those players are Ariana, Olivia, Kim, Julia, Sapphire, and Jennifer" she said "if you have any questions come talk to me"
Sapphire raised her hand to get her coaches attention "I can't go tonight" she said to everyone
"May i ask why?" her coach asked checking her clipboard
"I have something already tonight" she said
Under her breath Alex said *coughs* "Luke" *coughs*
"Yes it is with Luke is that a problem for you Alex, or do i need your permission to be with my boyfriend on our anniversary" Sapphire got really mad
"Sapphire can i talk to you for a minute" her coach said "everyone else start running laps until the turf beats sweat"
They walked over to the side of the field alone away from the rest of the team.
"Sweetheart, why are you getting so angry?"
"Because everyone thinks of me as this stupid gold digger who's only getting attention because i'm dating someone famous"
"Is that how you see yourself" she asked
"No it truly isn't"
"Are you sure you don't want to come with us tonight?"
"I really can't i'm sorry"
"Alright ladies bring it in for a discussion right now" her coach said "due to one of our chosen players not being able to attend tonight she has chosen her replacement"
Sapphire stood up and said "i'd like Alex to take my place tonight. She's an amazing player and deserves this opportunity"
"Alright ladies play time is over lets get back to practice. Grab your sticks and mouthpieces and set up for 7 vs. 7 on the field"
After practice Sapphire was walking to her car and remembered that she didn't take her car here and that Sophia drove her. Now she didn't have a ride home so she tried getting a hold of Luke.
*phone ringing*
"Hey Luke, can you cone pick me up at he field Sophia dropped me off before and i don't want to walk home"
"Sure just wait for a little i'm on my way"
"Thank you"
*hangs up phone*
As Sapphire was waiting Olivia and Alex came up and sat next to her on either side. Then didn't say anything but they gave Sapphire a look never given before. Both of the girls tried to understand why Sapphire would do this for Alex. The three of them had disliked each other since they were kids, now all of a sudden one of them starts being nice to the other.
"I don't get you Sapphire" Alex said
"What's to get all i did was help you out"
"But why? You hate our team"
"I may not like a lot of things, and you are right that I don't like this team, but I do love field hockey and I know you love it also. Your a great player so I figured why let the opportunity go to waste" she explained " you have a future with field hockey don't blow it"
*car horn beeping*
"Hey Sapph you ready to go" Luke said pulling up
"Yeah all ready" she said putting her bag over her shoulder and getting in the car "if you blow this chance you may not get another" she said holding the passenger door open
Olivia and Alex both looked at each other for a few minutes. Neither of them understood Sapphire and they couldn't bring themselves to thank her so they just sat there and focused on getting Alex ready to play tonight.
Luke and Sapphire drove back to the house and saw that Ashton was back on his feet but still pretty weak. His face was pale white with bags under his eyes and horrible smelling breathe. Kyleigh was making him some food since he hadn't eaten all day long and needed something to eat.
"Good to see you up and around!" Luke said when they walked in
Sophia rushed into the room grabbing the mini sewing kit from the cabinet "look Sapphire we need to make eight keys for all of us" she said "I can't go around the back in through the window anymore" she said showing Sapphire the rips in her shirt
"Okay we can go to A.C.E hardware right now before I start to get ready"
"Thank God let's go because I've ripped at least three shirts going through the window"
Sapphire and Sophia left to go to A.C.E Hardware to remake the key eight times so that everyone would be able to get in the house whenever they needed to.
