That same day Luke and the guys had arrived in Virginia and were headed to the venue for the concert that day. Luke was still extremely upset and didn't want to move from the hotel room.
Liz, Luke's mother, came into the room and told him that he and everyone needed to be ready for a meet and greet in 10 minutes.
"I'm so not in the mood for this" Michael said
"Oh calm down their our fans" Ashton said
"I know and I appreciate and love them with all my heart but i'm tired"
"Michael's right i'm exhausted from the flight but Ashton is right too we can't let them down" Calum said
"Luke why aren't you talking or getting out of bed lets go!" Liz said pulling Luke from the bed
"I'm ready I just gotta finish up and make a quick phone call" he said
"Look Luke you need to stop being upset for right now and focus on our show tonight" Michael said
"I know i'm done being upset. I'm just gonna call Sapphire and i'll meet you guys in the lobby in a few minutes. I swear"
"Okay. We're trusting you on this" Ashton said
*dials phone and it rings*
"Hello"
"Hey Sapphire its Luke how are you doing?"
"I'm hanging in there. Its so great to hear from you. It's felt like forever since I've seen you"
"I feel the same way. I hope i'll be able to come back soon"
"I hope so too. So do you have a show tonight"
"Yeah i have to meet the guys downstairs in a few minutes to go to the venue"
"Well good luck. Pretend i'm still standing there front row dancing to the concert"
"I will because it might be the only thing getting me through the show without you"
"Well, I've gotta go but i'll try to Face Time you tonight so i can see you. See you later Sapphire"
"Bye Luke"
*hangs up phone*
After Luke put his phone in the back pocket of his skinny jeans he exited the hotel room and began walking down the hallway to the elevator to go to the lobby to meet Michael, Calum, and Ashton for the show that night. He was standing there drifting off into space getting lost in the soft and quiet elevator music which was playing a piano version of Ed Sheeran's song Thinking Out Loud. When Luke got downstairs to the lobby he and the guys got in the van and Gus drove them to the venue in Virginia Beach. On the way there Luke sat next to the window with his headphones in not saying a word. While Michael, Calum, and Ashton were going over their set list for the night making sure they had everything correct.
"Okay lads we are so ready for tonight and so ready for the rest of our tour this year" Ashton said
"I'm so excited to go to New York City again" Calum said
"I don't think i'm excited for anything because i just enjoy driving you guys" Gus said from the front of the car.
"Aw Gus we love you mate" Michael said
"Well here we are. Hope you guys kill it on stage tonight"
"Thanks Gus" Michael, Calum, and Ashton said
The guys exited the bus and began heading to the doors of the venue. Fans stood there waiting and cheering for them. They were all waiting in hopes of getting autographs and pictures with 5 Seconds Of Summer.
Once they were all off the bus and finished unloading the equipment they all began interacting with a few fans at a time trying to get to every one.
Finally the owners of the venue came over and told the guys that they needed to go backstage to get ready. Once they got backstage and set everything up the show was beginning to start and 5 Seconds Of Summer were going to be introduced.
*A few hours later*
The guys finished their show and had an amazing performance as always. They quickly exited the venue to go to the van again and Gus drove them back to the hotel so they could sleep for a few hours. Luke went inside and immediately pulled out his cell phone. While Michael searched for food in the mini fridge and on room service. Calum was in bed half asleep listening to music. And Ashton was halfway through making another keek for how the concert was and how the guys were doing and of course to tell the fans that they loved them.
