The next day Sapphire went to school and got home like it was a normal day. When she got to her front porch Luke was sitting there waiting for her like they had arranged.
"I'm so glad your friends and my friends are getting along" Sapphire said sitting down on the steps
"You know what i knew they would because i knew us together was a good idea"
"Oh really" she said lying her head down on his lap
"Yeah, meeting you was everything i could have hoped for" he said giving her a single red rose from next to him
She sniffed the rose and held it next to her heart on her chest. She looked up to see Luke looking back down at her. His large blonde hair blocked the sun from her face and all she was only able to focus on his big gorgeous blue eyes.
"Luke...."
"Yeah baby"
"If i said something weird what would you say to it"
"I don't know how weird"
"Weird like it might change things in a good or a bad way"
"Just say it because i have a feeling i might want to say the same thing back"
"Okay....Luke......i think i love you" she said "i mean we haven't technically known each other long but i feel that i know the real you"
"Sapphire.....i know that i love you too" Luke said leaning down and kissing her lips. Once he pulled back he said "I've given you nothing less than the real Luke Hemmings"
She had this sudden feeling inside her that caused her face to completely blush and she couldn't do anything but sit there smiling at Luke's face. He always knew what to say even when she didn't.
They sat there together on the steps of her porch for what felt like forever. Not caring about anything else in the world at that moment. Just sitting there together talking and laughing about the most random things is what Sapphire loved most about Luke aside from his personality his humor was her favorite. Before they knew it, it was already getting dark outside. Sapphire ran inside to get her camera so she could take pictures of the beautiful end of summer sunsets. She also wanted to show Luke how to take pictures also. Luke knew nothing about cameras and would usually just sit there while Sapphire did everything. However, he wanted to try some new things that would bring him closer to her.
"Isn't that the most beautiful thing ever"
"Aside from you my beautiful girlfriend yeah it's beautiful" he said putting his arms around her waist as she looked through the camera on her tripod.
"Aw your so sweet....but really look at the breathtaking colors" she took another picture "it's like God is this amazing artist and our world is his canvas"
"I never thought of it like that" Luke starred at the sunset "the blurry clouds add an effect to the colors"
Sapphire didn't have a response to that so she just looked at Luke's face and smiled at him because she was so appreciative of him making an effort for her.
"You know what" sapphire said
"What?" He said giggling
Getting goosebumps she said "we're gonna do something you love next time since we already did something i love"
"Like what?"
"Anything you want music, sports, whatever you want"
"Deal"
