Luke was finishing his packing because he would be leaving again that day for whoever knows how many months. Sapphire was at his hotel helping him pack up everything. They were only together for about a week but each day with Luke felt like another lifetime. A lifetime of adventure and self discovery.
"How long will you be gone?"
"Not really sure" he said putting shirts away "not for a while if i'm being honest"
"Well it gives you time to think about our deal for the next time i see you"
"I'll think i promise"
"See you later Luke"
"See you later Sapphire, I love you"

For a while now after Luke had left Sapphire and Luke have been a bit distance since he left. Both Christmas and New Years had pasted by and they haven't spoken as much as they use to.
The girls were all hanging out when Sapphire got a call during their movie. The top of the screen read "My Sexy and Manly Penguin Luke" she laughed as she remembered when he secretly put that name in her phone. As she click the 'accept' button she got up and went into another room to talk to Luke.
"Hey Luke"
"Um hi. Look this isn't really working anymore Sapphire"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean i don't think we should be dating one another anymore because of our distance"
"Luke have you thought about this"
"Yes i have and i'm afraid it's what needs to be done at this time" he said tearing on his phone screen "maybe one day we can try again after things with tour and sports calm down"
"Well i guess i have no choice but to understand and accept your decision" she said clenching her eyes tightly together "good bye Luke"
Not wanting to do this he said "see you later Sapphire"
Sapphire ran straight to her room and shut the door. She stood against the door and lifted her head up and began crying and couldn't stop. She was in her room for about 20 minutes crying and crying. After Mackenzie came to the door and knocked on it Sapphire ran over to her in room balcony and sat there crying. Mackenzie, Kyleigh, and Sophia came inside not knowing what was going on.
"What happened?" Mackenzie said sitting next to her
Sapphire was sitting there with her knees up to her chin and her head was down crying onto her pants.
"Luke....."
"What happened? What did he say?"
"He said we can't be together right now because we are going on different paths with our future"
"Oh my God, Sapphire i'm so sorry" Sophia said.
She got up and left the room to go get Sapphire a tissue.

*incoming phone call* Luke's phone read
"Hello?" He said sniffling because he had been crying as well
"Luke why would you do this?"
"I'm sorry but it's what needed to be done at this time. It's difficult to explain"
"Well try to explain. Right now!"
"Well i just found out that i'll be on tour in Europe and Australia until next year. I can't be away from Sapphire that long and have her waiting for me for that long"
"I thought you loved her"
"No i LOVE her" he corrected
'Call disconnected'
As Luke looked at his phone he wiped his face and sat back down and cried to himself.

Sapphire was not saying a word but Mackenzie and Kyleigh tried to comfort her however, they didn't know what to say to her about this. None of them ever had this type of conflict in their life and reacting to this was new to all of them. Her phone started to ring and after wiping her eyes to see who was calling her.
*incoming call from Michael*
"I can't talk to him right" Sapphire said handing the phone to Mackenzie
Not listening to her Mackenzie answered the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hey Michael, now isn't really the best time for this" Mackenzie said as Sapphire had her eyes shut tight
"Look Sapphire you don't have to talk to me you just have to listen for a minute"
She wiped her nose and her eyes "Okay fine i'll listen"
"Okay now i know what just happened and you should know it wasn't Luke's idea. One of our managers said it's not good for him to be distracted with a girlfriend while on tour"
Sophia came back into the room and interrupted Michael. "Plus, Luke said that he would be gone for over a year this time in Europe and Australia"
"And he thinks you shouldn't be tied down to wait for him" Michael continued
"AND HE LOVES YOU" Sophia, Michael, Mackenzie, and Kyleigh said at once to make Sapphire finally realize how he feels about her
"Sapphire....call me if you need anything"
"Thank you Michael" she sniffled once more wiping her face.
Her eyes were red, watery, and extremely puffy. She didn't want her friends seeing her like that so she just sat there starring out the window onto the street. She didn't move or speak for nearly 45 minutes. Every few minutes her friends would offer her a drink of water or a bite to eat. She never answered them with words but she just shook her head and continued to look out the window.
