Later that night it was about 6pm and Luke and Sapphire were getting ready to go out for their anniversary. Sapphire was really nervous about her plan as a present for Luke.

"You ready to go?" Luke asked

"yeah just about, I just need a bag but I can't find it" Sapphire said to him

"Check in the front closet if it's not in your room"

After a few minutes of looking Sapphire found her purse in the closet in her bedroom. They left the house and started to drive around for a while.

"so where are we going?" Luke asked

Sapphire didn't answer him the first time he asked pretending that she didn't hear him.

So he asked again "Sapphire where are we going?"

She looked at him and just smiled, until she finally said "Somewhere special and then just to dinner" she giggled

Luke sat in the passengers seat and just thought for a while and over and over again in his head he said somewhere special?  because he felt that there were many places to him and Sapphire that were special.
When the car finally stopped he was looking around and felt that they were in the middle of nowhere because it was pitch black out.

"where exactly are we?" he said trying to to trip over anything on the ground

"we're at the pier....."

"I remember this pier, it's where I sang to you for the first time, other then at the concert last year"

"okay good, so it doesn't look like i'm taking you to the middle of nowhere for a date" she laughed "and theirs one more surprise I have for you" she said reaching into the trunk "do you remember the song you sang for me while we were sitting here"

"yeah! It was Wherever You Are" he said with pride

she began strumming the guitar until she started singing the first line "For a while we pretended that we never had to end it But we never knew we had to say goodbye"
After she sang the first verse of the song Luke came in and harmonized with the chorus with her "Wherever you are, wherever you are every night i almost called you just to say it always will be you, wherever you are"

After playing the rest of the song Sapphire looked into Luke's beautiful glowing blue eyes she noticed that a single tear was forming in his eyes and when she stopped playing she leaned in and kissed him because she was so happy and she loved him with all her heart.

"well that was fun, I didn't know you could sing. Why didn't you ever tell me?" He asked

"I didn't know I could until about 5 minutes ago when I started to sing for you" she said laughing because she could've just embarrassed herself with that song

"well it was amazing, i'm glad I was able to hear it" he said "so what's this dinner you were talking about" he joked

"it's at a restaurant, it's pretty laid back but it has great food. You wanna get going"

"not yet I just like being here with you, it's quiet and calm" he held her close having her lean her head on his shoulder "your really special to me and I don't care what the press are saying about you"

"Are you sure? Some of the stuff their saying could possibly make sense to some people"

"I don't care what makes sense to other people, all I care about is if your happy being with me because i'm incredibly happy being with you Sapphire"

"I am and everyday it feels unreal that you'd want me but I love you Luke Hemmings and nothing will ever change that, no matter what this crazy world throws at us"

Luke leaned forwards and kissed Sapphire once more but did not pull back immediately afterwards. He put his hands on her cheeks and held her close to him. Between kisses he peaked a sudden smile on his face until Sapphire finally said "It's time to go for dinner" and they then got in the car and drove to the restaurant.

When they arrived realized that a lot of people were leaving in a hurry. Sapphire got the attention of one person and asked why people were leaving.

"what's going on in there?"

"the power went out inside so everyone leaving to go somewhere else for dinner"

"i'm not going to take that Luke grab the candles from my car and i'll get us a table" she demanded

"are you sure that's a good idea?" he asked

"yes i'm sure, this is our restaurant for our date and this is where we will be having dinner"

When Luke came back inside with a couple candles Sapphire got a lighter from the counter and lit them up and placed them around their table so they could see it. However, they were unable to see anything beside or behind them because it was completely dark. Then, a man approached them.

"will you two be staying here for dinner?' he asked

"yes we will be sir" Luke said

"excellent, what can I get for you tonight?"

"i'll have the penne Ala vodka" Sapphire said

"and i'll have the meatball hero" Luke said as he handed the waiter their menu's

After sitting in the darkness together for a while their eyes adjusted to the dark and they were just sitting their talking to each other. There was an acoustic guitar sitting on the floor where a live band normally performs and Luke walked over and had Sapphire come over. She sat down on the floor next to Luke and he began to play a song that she was unfamiliar with.

Luke began to sing "I don't know why you always get so insecure, I wish you could see what I see when your looking in the mirror"

She listened and read ahead and listened as he sang the chorus to her "cause your my cover cover girl, I think your a superstar yeah you are, why don't you know? yeah your so pretty that it hurts. It's whats underneath your skin the beauty that shines within"

She couldn't help but smile at him because of the incredibly beautiful words he was saying to her. The waiter came back with their food and didn't make any noise he just placed the food down and walked away smiling.

After Luke finished the song Sapphire was in tears and pounced into his lap hugging him so tightly because that song made he feel so happy. She was whipping away the tears trying not to smudge her makeup. They both got up off of the hardwood floor and went back over to their table. Their food was already their and the candles were still burning make a beautiful light over the single table.

They went over and ate their food. A smile never left Sapphire's face the entire rest of the night because of how incredible of a person Luke was. After eating what they could of their food they decided to pay the check and finally go home. They were getting home pretty late and didn't want to wake anyone. The entire way home they both had a smile on their faces. When they walked in the door they tried to be very quiet. As soon as they looked into the living they saw Mackenzie sleep on Calum's shoulder with the TV still on and they didn't think anything of it and went to what they had of a bed.
