Sapphire and Luke have yet to leave each others side that whole rest of the day. They would sit and watch tv, talk to one another, and just relax together. Neither of them wanted to leave the following day. They have only known each other for three days but it felt like a lifetime of love for the two of them. Sapphire was nervous about Luke leaving but she felt that she could trust him in a way she has never felt before.
While they were laying down watching tv Sapphire had something on her mind that she didn't understand
"Luke.....why did you notice me that day we met?"
"There was something special about you that i wanted to know more about.....and you know what i'm happy i did call you over to the stage that night"
Sapphire began to blush because she had never had someone say that too her before and it made her feel so incredibly special. She felt as if nothing was standing in her way of being with Luke.
"Do you think you'll meet anyone else while i'm gone?" Luke asked her
"No way" sapphire said with confidence because she knew Luke was a special person that she was afraid of losing. She didn't care that he was famous she liked the behind the senses version of Luke.
He let her rest her head on his shoulder as they watched their favorite show, How I Met Your Mother, together.
"I like how Ted tells her kids the story of their mother" she said
"Why's he doing it though?"
"I'm guessing you never finished the series, right?" she asked because the ending of the show reveals why
"No"
"He's telling them the story of how he met their mother because once he finds her they get married have kids and then she gets terribly sick and dies"
"So he's giving his kids the portion of their mother's life that they were never able to hear about from her"
They had talked about their favorite characters and favorite episodes for about an hour. They haven't even left each other's side yet and Sapphire hasn't done her homework yet, which is strange for her because everyday right after school she had to do her homework. Or else it would never get done.
"You want something to eat" she asked since it was now about dinner time
"Sure want me to help you"
"Sure i'd love that"
They then went into the kitchen and began looking for something to eat. She found some pasta and soup in a cabinet along with some cookie dough and brownie mix in other cabinets. Luke suggested "how about we have backwards dinner tonight"
"I don't understand what you mean"
"Lets make dessert first then eat dinner"
She laughs at him "okay lets do it"
They then got the cookie dough from the refrigerator and more chocolate chips and some brownie mix. Then they began attempting to make the cookies. Every minute Sapphire would begin laughing because of his idea. As Sapphire was rolling chocolate chips to crush them up into smaller pieces Luke came up from behind her and put his arms around her. Then he turned his face and kissed her cheek. She smiled looking down at the chocolate chips. He then put his arms on top of hers and rolled the pin with her and they were just having so much fun together that they forgot Luke was leaving soon. Later when they came out of the oven they had two trays placed next to each other and they looked at how the cookies came. Sapphire made a tray full of delicious looking golden brown chocolate chip cookies and Luke made only 3 cookies almost completely burnt on the bottom. They laughed at the cookies but being the nice person Sapphire was she said his cookies looked amazing.
A little while later when they sat down to eat the cookies Luke would try to be romantic and feed Sapphire a cookie or two but each time he tried he accidentally hit her in the mouth rushing into feeding her. However, she just laughing thinking it was really cute that he tried. Then when there was no cookies left Sapphire got her and Luke a drink and when she sat down she looked into his big blue eyes and he looked back into hers and in that very moment it felt like time was at a stand still and then suddenly Luke leaned in closer to her and kissed her lips softly for the very first time. When they let go they looked at each other again smiling. He then put his hand on her cheek and pulled her closer for another kiss.
After the kiss was over they had absolutely no words to say to one another and just say there smiling at each other. Luke finally broke the silence and said "who knew our first kiss would be our last for a while"
"Well you know what i don't worry about what the future holds i only worry about whats going on now"
"That's not a bad way to live. It's actually really good"
