Back while Sapphire was getting ready for practice she was putting up her think hair into different ponytails and pre-wrap headbands. She got her shinguard's and all the rest of her equipment ready for her to leave. She grabbed her practice bag with a giant #5 on both sides and two field hockey sticks crossing on the front, and put it over her shoulder. She got her cleats from the porch and threw them in her car. And she drove down the highway to go to the field for practice.
Once she arrived she sat in the car for a few minutes breathing deeply because she didn't like her teammates and didn't want to accidentally tell them about Luke. She knew that she needed to remain calm as if it was a normal day.
"Hey coach" Sapphire said entering the field
"Hey, um for today's practice i want to focus mainly on stick work and thats your strongest so can you be lead on it" coach Piper said
"Sure, i'd love too"
She put everything down and the team did a warm up jog and the stretching exercise they did everyday. Sapphire was happy that her coach thought highly of her enough to lead the drills for today's practice. However, every time she had a free second she would check her phone to see if Luke and called or texted her.
"Alright everyone Sapphire is going to lead everyone i today's practice because stick work is her biggest strength and we all need some of that" her coach said as the two girls Sapphire hated the most rolled their eyes at her. "And if anyone has an issue with that then they can leave for the day or enjoy sprints"
After about 2 hours of field hockey practice had concluded and Sapphire was heading to her car when two of her teammates came up behind her and said "how was the 5 Seconds Of Summer concert"
"It was great. They did some great songs"
"Your so lucky that you went was it as good as everyone made it out to be on Instagram"
"Totally the energy was through the roof the whole night" she said packing her car "well anyways i'll see you guys tomorrow maybe. Bye" she quickly got in her car not wanting to talk to them anymore or at all for that matter
Her teammates stood there confused as to why Sapphire was in such a rush to leave.
Once Sapphire got home she immediately checked her phone because she wanted to know when Luke was going to possibly call her that night.
The time was now 8pm and now Sapphire was in her pajamas and was ready for bed because she had showered, did her homework, and did her nightly routine. She was laying in her bed starring at her phone and when she put it down her phone it began to ring and flash. *incoming Face Time call* it read across the top. She couldn't contain her happiness that Luke was calling her right now.
"Hey Luke"
"Hey i miss you"
"I miss you too. How was your show?"
"Really good. Such great energy"
"That's great" she said slightly fixing the camera angle on her phone "i'm glad you did well"
"How was school and field hockey?"
"Both were really long and tiring" she said giggling "But they are both things i have to do right now so i deal with it" she explained herself
"What time is it over there?"
"Same time that it is in Virginia" she said
"Oh yeah, I forgot New York and Virginia are in the same time zone"
After talking to Luke for over an hour Sapphire was beginning to yawn and she had a tired look on her face. Luke noticed this.
"You tired?" he asked knowing the answer
"A little bit, I haven't had much sleep the past few nights"
"Do you want to go to sleep?" he asked
"Are you sure? I mean I know we miss each other and I don't know when we will be able to talk again"
"Yeah we can talk real soon. I promise" Luke assured her
"Goodbye Luke"
"Bye Sapphire, sleep well beautiful" he said causing Sapphire to blush as she heard the call end through her phone
*Face Time call ended*
