The Girl Standing Front Row (revised)

Chapter 8

Sapphire began laughing to herself until Luke snuck up behind telling her that he was ready to take her home whenever she was.

"Okay, where's your car?" She said

"I don't have one....i have this to take you home"
he said pointing to a large tour bus colored red and black with large black tinted windows. A man opened the large doors on the side of it as he welcomed you onto the bus.

"This is Gus" Luke said

"Nice to meet you sweetheart" Gus said

"Hi, nice to meet you also" Sapphire said

As she walked up the four steep steps she made an immediate turn to her left and saw couches pressed onto the walls underneath the windows and three guys sitting there on their phones doing nothing. Luke followed behind you saying "Guys, this is Sapphire....i offered to drive her home tonight after she saw our show".

Michael looked up at her and immediately stood up and said "Hey mate, i'm Michael, so how'd you like the show tonight?"

"It was incredible energy was through the roof and your setlist was amazing"

"Thanks! Well it's nice to meet you" Ashton said getting up out of his seat to come shake her hand.

Luke leaded her over so she could sit down on the bus with everyone. She didn't seem very starstruck by the guys and they all thought that she was a pretty chill girl just hanging out with some guys.

She got up and gave Gus the directions to her house from the venue.

As she got up and walked away the guys began quietly talking to Luke about her. Nothing bad was spoken about her. They all agreed that she was an extremely beautiful girl and Calum asked Luke how he even met her when he was always with them backstage. Except Luke wasn't always with them.

As Sapphire came back to sit down with the guys she had absolutely no idea what to say to any of them. So Michael broke the silence and said "So......do you play any instruments or sports?"

"Both actually... I play guitar,drums, and a little piano and i also play Field Hockey, Basketball, volleyball, soccer, and run cross country"

"Wow okay girl, which is your favorite?" Ashton asked holding up his drums sticks.

"I don't know i just enjoy playing and that's all that matters to me really"

Calum broke into the conversation changing the subject and just blurted out the question "so when are you and Luke going on your date?"

"What?!" She said

"We haven't worked out any details yet" Luke said.

"Well since we will be in town for a few days since our next show was cancelled maybe Sapphire could take you to a nice local place" Calum said

"Umm.....yeah I could think of a place or two" Sapphire said getting red in the face.

"Luke what kind of food do you like Italian? Mexican? Chinese?"

"Italian is my favorite" he said

"Mine too" she said smiling at him

Luke noticed she was getting a little red in the face so he looked at Calum widening his blue eyes in anger and judgement. Calum backed off with the questions and he just sat back leaning against the window. 

"Okay here we are miss" Gus said from the front of the bus.

As the bus came to a stop in front of her house she said "thank you Gus" and picked up her phone from the little mini table getting up off the on bus couch.

"Here i'll walk you out" Michael said getting up also.

"Aw thank you Michael" Sapphire said accepting his request.

He walked her off the bus and they began walking up the driveway to her front door.

"Hey listen sorry if anyone was hard on you in there. It's just Luke is the youngest member of the band and he sometimes falls to hard and we don't wanna see him getting hurt".

"Aw Michael, that's so sweet of you, and don't worry i'll make sure Luke doesn't get hurt".

Sapphire entered her house and laid her back up against her front door and let out a huge sigh because she was finally glad this crazy night was over. But as soon as she went into her bedroom she saw Mackenzie and Kyleigh were sitting on her bed waiting for her to get home. They pulled her onto the bed and was forcing her to tell them everything that had happened tonight that they weren't already aware of.
