A few months later things were finally back to whatever normal Sapphire had left in this world. She was still talking distantly to her mother. The guys had their second album out on iTunes for the world to hear. Sophia was still managing the guys career and was helping Sapphire control her newly found ability. Mackenzie was now in a bit of a relationship with Calum but it was nothing serious in the moment. Kyleigh was working hard on soccer and college.
Ashton and Kyleigh were extremely close to one another however it never became anything sexual in order to keep their great friendship. Ashton took Kyleigh to her soccer practice that day and they he decided to stay and watch for a while since the guys had off for right now. She did her usual running, dribbling, and passing drills for a few hours.
Calum, Michael, and Mackenzie were hanging out at the house together doing nothing as usual. They would always just watch movies and eat food. They all loved watching sappy romantic movies that made them cry and it made everyone else laugh at them.
Sapphire, Luke, and Sophia were out wondering around helping the stubborn ghost of a young girl who died due to a prank gone wrong. Sapphire was learning to control her gift with the assistance of Sophia. Luke was watching the whole thing because he swore he would always stand by Sapphire and it's what he continues to do.
Back at the soccer field, Calum, Michael, and Mackenzie met Ashton while he was watching Kyleigh practice. The four of them were sitting in the bleachers waiting for her to finish.
"I don't understand soccer!" Michael said
"Yeah why is it even called soccer?" Calum asked "people also call it football I don't understand anything"
"It's such a weird game also, just by watching the drills their doing i just don't understand" Ashton said
"Look guys everything about this game is confusing but for some reason it makes sense to Kyleigh. She understand this game like the palm of her hand" Mackenzie said
After the practice Kyleigh came over and they all greeted one another because she didn't notice that Mackenzie, Michael, and Calum showed up also. She loved having her friends with her however she missed having all eight of them together like old times. The only time they would all be together was at the house that they finally put the finishing touches on.
"Why do you play this game Kyleigh?" Ashton asked "we were just talking and we don't understand how to play"
"Well for me the game came easy. Your basically just trying to score and the in between stuff is just what the drills lead into" she explained
"Why can't you use your hands but you can use your head?" Michael asked
"I don't know why you can't use your hands but I like using my head it seems so professional soccer like" she laughed while talking
Once they got home Sapphire, Luke, and Sophia were already there. They were all happy to finally just sit down together and just be together. Luke was hanging out with the guys because since the album release the distance has grown stronger between them but he would not let it tear them apart. Ashton didn't want them to grow more apart and neither did Michael or Calum. If they were going to stay a band they would all need to make some sacrifices in their life however, none of them wanted to make them.
"Don't you think it's time?" Michael asked
"No I don't the time will never come. We will all be brothers forever and i'll be with Sapphire for however long" Luke said
"Luke don't you see whats happening" Calum said
"I see that she is going through something she can't explain and I see that you guys don't want us together so much but it's the way brotherhood works. We must all learn to get with the program we're working with"
