It was now nearing July 4th and a few concerts have gone by. Everyone was excited to see a spectacular firework show that they would be seeing while they were in Europe.
"These Fourth of July fireworks are supposed to be amazing" Kyleigh said " talked to a girl here and she said it's the best in the country"
"Even though Europe doesn't celebrate fourth of July, instead they just shoot off fireworks and attempt to show patriotism to our country" Mackenzie said remembering that they weren't in America
"That's true. Hopefully we can be outside with calm people for a change and enjoy it" Calum said
"Yeah, but our fans mean well so it's not terrible" Luke said
Luke and Sapphire were sitting in the car as they were all driving down the street to go to their meet and greet that was scheduled to happen that day before their concert. Luke was asleep on Sapphire's shoulder as he had his headphones in his ears. Ashton was driving the car because he was oldest however, none of them trusted him to drive. Mackenzie was looking at pictures of the fireworks that people have posted on google images.
"These fireworks are amazing!" she said "they can make hearts, flowers, and they use so many different colors at one time".
"Aw Sapphire you and Luke can finally have a romantic night under the fireworks" Kyleigh said
"yeah loud screams and fireworks going off....real romantic" she laughed "but it will be nice to have a nice night with Luke finally when he isn't performing"
"speaking of performing" Calum interrupted "what'd you guys think of our set last night. That was our biggest crowd this whole tour so far"
"I thought it was amazing" Mackenzie quickly said
They finally got to the outdoor area where fans were lined up to get their pictures taken with 5sos and to get an autograph. Sapphire woke Luke up and he wiped his tired eyes and got out of the car to greet fans. Ashton and Michael were already walking over to the table. The girls followed behind and just stood on the outside so that fans could get through and meet 5sos. While Mackenzie, Kyleigh, and Sophia were taking snap chats of the guys Sapphire was a few feet away calling her brother to see how his summer classes were going.
"hey bro hows everything going over there?"
"pretty good, a lot of work but really good" he said as he took a deep breath he said "mom called me last night"
"WHAT?! WHY??"
"she left me a message saying that she wanted to congratulate you on your graduation last month"
"that's nuts, how did she even know? I haven't talked to her in forever. I lost all touch with her basically because I didn't want her much in my life anymore"
"well don't worry about it too much for right now, I haven't called her back and she hasn't tried calling again"
"okay well i'll talk to you later"
*hangs up the phone*
*redials a number on her phone*
"hello"
"hey Liz it's Sapphire sorry to bother you but i just found out the weirdest news that I need to talk about quickly with you because you helped me before".
"of course, is it about your mother again"
"yes she called my brother after I had already left and she left a message congratulating me on graduation"
"maybe she still cares and she was able to piece together at about when you would be graduating"
"I mean she's never called before now, so I don't understand why out of the blue"
"look sweetie your traveling having a great time with Luke and your friends so just focus on that for right now and relax"
"your right, thanks Liz bye"
*hangs up phone*
Sapphire was incredibly confused as to what she just heard but she pretended like it never happened and she went over to her friends as they were having a great time. She went over and they were all laughing because of the ugly snap chat selfies they were taking together. She looked over at Luke with a certain face and when he looked over at her he took a picture with a girl and he got up and walked over to her. Her arms were crossed over her chest and as walked approached her he grabbed her elbows and unfolded her arms.
"whats going on?" Luke asked
"nothing i can't handle, go meet your fans i'm fine I promise"
"i don't believe you so later on your going to talk to me about it" he said kissing her nose
