The next morning Sophia slept in for a while so that no body would come in and bother her. In the kitchen Michael and Sapphire were making themselves breakfast and trying to engage in some sort of a conversation
"So Michael what was up with you last night?" she asked putting bread in the toaster
"What do you mean?" he asked her back
"well I mean you stormed in and just kept asking where Sophia is without telling us why"
"because I wanted to know...I care about her. Is that a crime or something" Michael said not looking up from inside the freezer
She smiled "nope not at all I've been waiting for you to admit it" she said
Michael left the room to go knock on Sophia's door. She allowed him to come in and she was just lying down in her bed doing nothing.
"Hey good morning" he said "I made you breakfast if you want some"
"thanks come sit down" she said patting her bed
Michael went and sat down and they shared the breakfast together.
"look I get that you have your personal life and I have no right to ask this but.....do you have anything about yourself that your hiding that could possible hurt any of us" he asked frightened to know the answer
"Michael I've shared more about myself to you then anybody else, but since your asking yes I am still hiding things from everyone" she took a deep breathe "but I do feel like I can trust you with anything these days....especially because you've stuck by Luke and Sapphire for so long"
"I appreciate that you can trust me with your secrets" he said
"well the major one that I haven't told anyone is that both me and Sapphire have a certain gift" she said sounding nervous "and we use to this gift to talk to the dead.....we can see spirits of dead people who are still on earth"
Michael's eyes widened so far that he nearly passed out because of the news just now. He was extremely hostile about looking at Sophia in the eye right now. The news that she just told him was the same that the girl told him that he refused to believe.
"please Michael you don't need to be afraid or anything like that" she said holding his hand "I promise if anything ever came near you I would protect you"
"I never believed in ghosts when i was younger but based on everything you have told me so far i feel like i believe you....and both you and Sapphire can see them" he said "does Luke know?"
"yes Luke knows, he swore to stay be her side to protect her as much as he can and because he loves her and he wants to stay"
Michael got up and left the room without warning. He went into his bedroom and paced back and forth for a really long time before making another decision. He grabbed his phone and called the girl that he has been meeting with.
"the big secret you say that would make Luke run for the hills, he already knows about so i'm done helping you because he loves her and he is not leaving any time soon" he hung up the phone before she had a change to answer him.
Calum, Ashton, Sapphire and Kyleigh would be spending the day together, while Sophia would be following the girl to the pizzeria. Mackenzie had plans of her own and Luke and Michael would be doing some music promoting together at some local radio stations. Everyone would be doing something so no one was home for the day.
At the pizzeria at 12:30pm, Sophia got there early so she would be able to see the girl come in the door with whoever it is she was meeting here and maybe she would finally figure out who she is. She sat in the back of the room facing the front door. She had sunglasses on so no one would notice her sitting there.
When suddenly the girl came in and sat down in the booth against the wall. Sophia moved up a few tables in order to sit closer to her. She was still waiting for the friend to arrive. Sophia decided she would text Michael to see how his interviews with Luke were going until the other girl showed up for lunch.
