With Luke still in Sapphire's head the three girls got their food from the broad walk and came back to see a bunch of girls waiting outside unable to come inside yet. The girls walked inside automatically with their passes from Lori and already were enjoying the music and picking out which band merchandise they wanted to buy for themselves. Mackenzie and Kyleigh went to their seats already while Sapphire stayed by the gates hoping to catch another glimpse of Luke once more.
"Hey Sapphire, just give it up for right now and come see how close our seats are for tonight". Kyleigh said convincing her to give up on seeing Luke again.
"Okay, i guess your right". She said checking the time on her phone. It read 3:58pm on it.
The show was going to start in just a few hours. The three girls are at their seats staring at the stage. They are taking selfies together making memories that would last them a lifetime. Lori and her husband Rick come over to them with a sudden smile on their face. "How would girls like to come backstage with me and help me bring some equipment out to the camera and lighting crew?" She asked us with a sudden scent of desperation with a tiny touch of happiness because she knew backstage could possible mean the girls meeting the band. "I'd love to come help" Kyleigh said.
"We'll all come and help" Sapphire added.
"What exactly are we looking for equipment wise?" Sapphire asked as they went up the stairs.
"Well we need more extension cords for the cameras and the lights and there are more lights for the front of the stage and John said that we should get the colored lights for spotlights". Lori said as we were looking through bins behind the stage getting the proper equipment.
"Okay, i'll check over here in this bin" Mackenzie said going over to a bin
"This one looks like it could have lights in it so i'll check over here" Kyleigh said
Sapphire didn't say what she was doing she was just wandering around backstage looking inside of bins and touching the amplifiers around the stage.
There in the back of the stage Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton were warming up their voices. Sapphire was looking at them between two of the amps hoping one of them would turn around. Within a few minutes Luke turned around and saw Sapphire staring at them rehearse. He gave her a sudden smile and before she could smile back at him she turned back noticing that the rest of the girls were leaving and she ran to catch up with them.
Looking at the clock it was exactly 6:00pm and the doors to the arena were opening in exactly 1 hour. Sapphire, Mackenzie, and Kyleigh got to work setting up more lights and plugging in extension cords so that it would all be ready for when the doors opened. The three girls and Lori were running through all the seats across the whole arena making sure everything was ready.
"We should all work here next summer" Mackenzie suggested
"She has a good point, I mean we already help Lori and Rick so much with things around here. Might as well get paid for it" Kyleigh said
"You guys are forgetting that I already have a job" Sapphire said
"Sapph that job pays you shit and your manager is a douche bag" Kyleigh said
"Money is money Ky, your making it sound like I'm working for free"
"Can you girls please go bring these boxes over to the merchandise stands so that they don't run out too quickly?" Lori said handing the boxes to Kyleigh and Mackenzie
Then they all ran making sure merchandise was displayed correctly. Before the doors opened Lori let the girls each pick a piece of merchandise as a way to say thank you for them helping set up for the show.
The time is now 6:45 and the doors were going to be opening very shortly so Sapphire, Mackenzie, and Kyleigh decided to go to their seats so that they didn't have to wait for all the other people to come inside.
Sapphire pulled her gold iPhone 6 out of her back pocket and checked the time. It read 6:59pm.
