Meanwhile, on the plane, Luke sat by the window and he looked out into the distance of the sky in complete depression because he wasn't ready to lose Sapphire yet either. He tried being strong for her at the airport but once the plane doors closed he lost it.
"Hey dude you doing okay over there" Michael said from across the aisle.
"I guess so"
"Look if your not doing okay you can talk to us" Calum said sitting next to him
"I mean i knew we'd have to try long distance but I've never felt this way about leaving someone"
"You didn't feel this way leaving Aleisha. Sapphire must really be something special to you" Michael said
"Yeah she really is" Luke said checking his phone seeing no messages. "She's something really special"
"Well if she means that much to you instead of being sad about leaving then try your absolute hardest to make the long distance work" Michael said
"I'm going to and nothing will stop me this time"
"Good for you Luke" Calum said

The next day Mackenzie and Kyleigh went to first period looking for Sapphire. They were confused as to where she could be because she wasn't in class. They checked the hallway near her locker and they even snuck out of the building to check the coffee shop that was next door to find her. She was no where to be found.
"Where the hell is she" Mackenzie said from across the room
"I don't know lets go check her house" Kyleigh suggested
"Okay"
Mackenzie and Kyleigh drove to Sapphire's house and went straight inside to her room. She wasn't there and the bed was made. Her brother was already at school and probably slept through the night. He must've left this morning thinking that Sapphire had already left for school.
"It looks like she didn't even sleep here last night" Kyleigh said
"If she wasn't here then where the hell could she be?"
They stood there for like 15 minutes thinking about where Sapphire could be.
"THE AIRPORT!" Mackenzie said "When we left her she was still there and said she was going to stay there for a while until she felt better"
"Lets go find her!" Kyleigh said grabbing her car keys and running to her car
They ran out of Sapphire's house and got in the car speeding onto the highway to go find Sapphire. Kyleigh was doing illegal miles right in that moment but they had to get to the airport as fast as they could.
Once they got to the airport there was no one inside by the gates. They ran to gate 214 where Luke's flight left yesterday looking for Sapphire.
"SAPPHIRE! WHERE ARE YOU?" Mackenzie shouted out
"COME ONE SAPPHIRE TALK TO US WHEREVER YOU ARE" Kyleigh quickly screamed out
Suddenly, they ran over to the seats where Sapphire was sitting when they left her. They found her lying on the chairs sleeping. She was wearing the same outfit as yesterday and it looked like she only recently fell asleep.
"Sapphire, wake up" Mackenzie said lightly shaking her shoulder "come on Sapphire wake up"
"What happened" Sapphire slowly said waking up
"You didn't come to school and we have been looking for you" Kyleigh said
"I was sitting here crying and then i felt really tired so i lied down to take a nap for a few minutes" she said sitting up on the chair
"Are you doing okay?" Kyleigh asked
"Yeah, i'm doing fine i guess" she said searching around for her phone
*no new messages*
"I'm sorry Sapphire maybe he's just busy"
"No, i'm sorry i ever thought he would truly like me the way i liked him"
"Don't say that! Luke is crazy about you, the two of us are absolutely sure of that" Kyleigh said taking Sapphire's phone away from her
Sapphire got up and stretched out her back and began walking out of the airport to her car.
"I'm gonna go back to school i have a Trig test in about an hour"
"Okay we'll meet you there and we can go for lunch together" Mackenzie said
"Sure, i'll see you guys in school" Sapphire said in a depressed tone
She was not the same girl that Mackenzie and Kyleigh saw yesterday. Once Luke left for his flight he changed into someone that didn't want anything to do with anyone Hopefully Kyleigh and Mackenzie would be able to change that again for her.
