The day was starting to finally turn to night and they were going to check to see if Sapphire's mom was home to see if they could sneak in and find the book. Everyone was extremely thrilled with the adventure but nervous because none of them liked her mother and were terrified of her.
The guys stayed by the front of the house, Mackenzie and Kyleigh were around the side and Sapphire and Sophia were first to go inside once the coast was clear. Once they got inside Mackenzie and Kyleigh followed inside. They made the guys wait outside for a few minutes because they wanted them to make sure her mother didn't come home.
"Search everywhere, carefully" Sapphire said
"This woman is psycho organized. This shouldn't be hard" Mackenzie said
"But it's an important, special, and secret book she wouldn't have it just anywhere" Sapphire said
"Then we should be looking closer at everything. Maybe you could find something about your past while we're here" Kyleigh said
"That's the farthest thing from my mind"
Suddenly, a door opened in the backyard and it made them all jump out of their skins. They looked at each other and within the same second Sapphire whispered "HIDE"
Mackenzie hid in another room with Sophia quietly shutting the door behind them. Kyleigh was hiding in a cabinet underneath the sink in the kitchen hoping not to make a noise. Then Sapphire didn't have enough time to hide in a great spot so she just crouched down behind the couch next to a window. She took out her phone and texted Kyleigh knowing that her phone was on silent because it always is.
"Are you okay?" She texted
"cramped in a ball but I'm okay. Why didn't the guys text us that she was home?"
"I don't know I'm gonna try getting one of them right now" she replied back typing really quietly
Sapphire texted Luke a double S.O.S and 911 message sounding like she was ready to kill him. Luke just replied with total confusion and question marks because he and the guys were out front of the house and no one pulled up to go inside.
She thought to herself for a minute. "If no one came in through the front side of the house then how did she get past the guys" she kept wondering how this could have been possible until she looked at a small hole cut into the back of the couch. She put her hand inside a felt this item that she soon took out and looked at.
"The book!" She whispered to herself
She looked through the book and then checked above the couch to see if the coast was clear. She got up slowly and walked to the kitchen to find Kyleigh hidden in a cabinet. The two of them then tip toed around making sure her mom didn't catch them anywhere. They didn't want to split up but as they walked they would hold there mouths so that neither of them made any kind of sound.
"Sophia...." She whispered
"Mackenzie...." Kyleigh whispered also
"Where are you guys?" She whispered again
There was yet to be an answer but as they began to turn around and walk towards the front door a sudden light switch flew on lighting up the entire living room and kitchen area of the house. A woman stood in front of Sapphire and Kyleigh however she wasn't at all what they were expecting.
"Why hello there girls you look extremely lost" she said
The girls stayed speechless staring at one another trying for the women not to see their faces clearly. There was this chill going down Sapphire's back when she finally realized that there was a spirit behind her that seemed to be vaguely familiar to her. The lights then went out and through the darkness she caught a glimpse of the ghost and knew who it was standing there in front of her face. And within the blink of an eye she vanished once Sophia and Mackenzie showed up and pulled her out of the house back onto the sidewalk of the street.
