A few hours past and everyone began coming back into the living room. Kyleigh and Ashton got home from the gym and were ready to talk about what their next move was in finding Sapphire's mom. Michael was the last to come downstairs because he was trying to keep his distance from Sophia for as long as he could. He didn't want to ruin their friendship by having her mad at him. Luke put Anissa to bed and then came into the living room to talk.
"Okay guys so we need to figure out why my mom hasn't crossed over yet" Sapphire said
"And how she died" Kyleigh said
"And why she's here" Luke said
"And who she has unfinished business with" Calum said
"Yes, okay guys we need to figure out a lot of things" Elliot said
"I think we should let her come to us" Sapphire suggested
"Why she never came to you when she was alive" Ashton said
"Plus she was never there for you" Calum said "that's why I said before she has the unfinished business with you Sapphire"
"Well that's what is farthest from my mind right now because she hasn't shown up yet and for all we know she did cross over that's why I can't see her"
"It's the veil" Sophia said
"Veil?" Mackenzie said
"Yeah it's what connects our world to the ghost world. When the veil is thin we can see ghosts and when it's thick we can't" she explained
"When is it thick and thin?" Ashton asked
"It's thick when emotions are really high....like losing a loved one" Sophia said
"Then how do we thin this veil thing?" Luke asked
"We have to be at peace with what happened for the veil to be thinned and to remain seeing ghosts"
"Peace?! Your joking right our mother is gone and these ghosts expect us to be at peace with this" Elliot said angrily
"I haven't seen my mother in so long she could have been dead for years now" Sapphire said
"She hasn't been dead for years...." Elliot said
"How would you know that?" Sapphire asked
"Unless....." Kyleigh said "you've seen her recently"
"She came to the house" Elliot said
"Our house?" Sapphire asked
"Yes, she came here the other night when you guys went out and I was watching Anissa"
"Why didn't you tell us?" Luke asked
"Because she came to see Anissa and I said no because you guys weren't here to approve of her seeing your child and in my own opinion I didn't want her to see her after everything she put us through"
"Okay I understand why you did it but why didn't you tell us when we got home"
"I didn't know she died I thought once she left I'd never have to see her again.....and now I guess I won't" Elliot said
"Be careful what you wish for" Michael said
"We're going to find her but blaming Elliot for it isn't going to help" Sapphire said
"Maybe you guys can try coming to peace with what happened. I know it's really early to do that but I think it's worth a shot" Kyleigh suggested cautiously
"How would we do that?" Sophia asked
"I don't know I was hoping someone else would be able to know that part"
