"Scott.."
"Don't say anything! We got this under control. We just have to get him back to his room.." Scott mindlessly let off as he brought his shaking hand up to his mouth to nervously chew on his fingernails.
I have never, ever- seen Scott do that.
But get him back to his room? I'm not exactly sure that's the most brilliant thing to do because as we all know, there isn't much that human remedies can do for a werewolf bite. Especially at the fact that it's a bite from an alpha.
I could have felt the stress levels radiating from my boyfriend as he continued to unconsciously mumble on with plans that didn't really sound like they were going to end well.
I glanced down at the dead wendigo on the floor, my footsteps carrying me to him. My fingers were trembling and I had no way of stopping them. As my eyes were stapled onto the body, the hissing noise much like what Sean did echoed through my head.
I hastily sucked in a deep breath as it felt like I was knocked out of a trance of fear once my eyes ripped away from Sean's corpse. I went over to Scott as I placed a hand onto his cheek, halting his frantic movements. "We can't take him back to his hospital room, babe." I softly spoke as I traveled my hand down to hold his fingers.
"Yes, you can!" Liam's whiny, but agitated voice cut through the air.
"Carson, I-I bit him! This is going to change his life." Scott went on as I nodded along to his words. "He never asked for this- I sure didn't!" I listened to my boyfriend speak. My heart ached at his last sentence.
His words helped me to realize that not only was he afraid, but he also felt guilty. With this bite, it's putting Liam's life in danger. There are only two routes Liam's body can take and I'm afraid one of them isn't so hopeful.
"We're going to get through this, okay? What you did tonight was something that you needed to do. I mean- I didn't really see much options!" I reassured him, squeezing his fingers tightly.
"I almost died!" Liam exclaimed as I sent a pitiful glance his way, shrugging softly. Scott's eyes nearly got stuck on Liam's expression but I turned his face with my hand. I'm not even sure how Liam got in the middle of all this.
No doubt Sean had something to do with it.
"No, look at me." I breathed out as Scott's frenzy-like eyes settled on me.
"I bit- I bit him. Oh, God- Araya!" Scott panicked as the few last words Araya left Scott with echoed through my head. 'When you take the bite of an innocent- I will come knocking at your door.'
"Don't think about that, all right? She is literally the least of our worries. What you need to do is call Sheriff Stilinski- okay?" I started to riddle off instructions as I brushed Scott's face softly. I fished through his pocket to hand him his cellphone. "Get him up here and I'll take care of the rest." I sternly spoke as my boyfriend only nodded along. I pressed a short kiss to his forehead as he then walked away momentarily to use his cellphone.
