Black fingerprints.

Hazmat suits.

Blood-taking.

Sign after sign, my dream was somehow becoming a reality. After Ms. Martin had gathered us back into the classroom, it was then explained that there was a need for the exam to be paused due to a potential outbreak of a highly contagious virus. My classmates and I had the chance to watch in utter silence as a team from the CDC paraded through the halls draped in full yellow hazmat suits. My breaths were coming out as shudders and I was growing extremely paranoid as to what this might mean.

So much for today being a great.

I then felt an arm snake around my waist as I was then pulled into the corner of the classroom. I looked up to see Scott with a worried expression painted on his face.

"I could feel the anxiety coming from your body and your heartbeat has been out of control the entire time." Scott whispered to me as I watched his eyes scan over me repeatedly. I leaned onto the wall, wiping my now sweaty palms onto my denim jeans. "I'm sorry I didn't take your warning earlier, I-"

"No, no. Don't apologize." I placed a finger onto Scott's lips. Out of everything going on, he some how felt responsible for my worries. "But, Scott, I had a dream. I mean, it wasn't really clear on what was happening, but some things are seriously lining up and it's worrying me." I rushed out as I then scanned around the room. As soon as I connected eyes with the new male teacher, his sight adverted almost immediately. I furrowed my eyebrows, soon looking back to Scott who began speaking again.

"So is this like.. you know- an attack?" Scott questioned, lowering his voice.

"There isn't anything happening to us, right? I mean, I'm totally fine." I spoke.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine too. And Sydney isn't a supernatural." Scott spoke as he nodded.

"Okay, we should still check on her. Try and see what else is going on and if there is anybody else who got infected. Maybe they figured something out by now." I proposed as Scott nodded, beginning to walk off. I then held his arm before we left the privacy of our little corner.

"Scott, if anything happens to you or you start to feel funny, try to find me first." I breathed out, placing both of my hands onto his face. "Find me first." I repeated as he nodded quickly.

"Of course." Scott breathed out as he then brought one of my hands down to pull me along with him. I'm not exactly sure why I was so hellbent on Scott finding me before anything else, but I believe it's because I am starting to listen to myself more. There isn't just any reason why Lydia, of all people, would call me the antidote in my dream.

We entered the area where they had set up quarantine booths for students who were already exposed to whatever virus is going around in the school. Scott and I quickly located Sydney's booth and we were also met Ms. Martin in there.

"Hey, Sydney. How are you feeling?" I questioned, walking through the cover that Scott had pushed aside. She was sitting upwards in the bed and her lips looked brittle, which worried me a bit.

"Hey!" Sydney chirped. "I'm feeling a little tired, but other than that I'm okay."

"Do we know what's the cause of all this?" Scott looked up at Ms. Martin who moved away from checking out Sydney's wrists. The rash on her wrists looked as if they were starting to spread and that didn't provide any comfort at all.
