[Chapter 57]

"Yumi Esche Fuentes, the daughter of Matthew Tye Fuentes. You are my daughter Yumi."

I remained staring at him. I can't utter a single word. What did he say? Parang nabingi ata ako.

"Yumi?" he waved his hand in front of me pero nakatulala pa rin ako ni pagkurap ay di ko magawa.

"Yumi!" he shook my shoulders dahilan para mabalik na ako sa reyalidad.

"I know this is a shocking truth for you but you are my daughter. I want to be your father – let me be your father this time." he sincerely said while looking me in the eyes.

"W-why?" di ko mapigilan ang biglaang pagbuhos ng luha ko.

"Yumi!" He panicked when he saw me crying. He's finding a handkerchief in his pocket but it looks like he didn't bring any.

I covered my face using both of my hands.

"B-bakit? Bakit ngayon l-lang? Kung kailan okay na a-ako." putol-putol kong sabi. 

I don't know what to feel right now, I'm overwhelmed, di ko alam kung maniniwala ba ako sa sinasabi niya o tatawanan ito na parang joke time lang ang lahat.

Ganun nalang ba yun kadali? Ilang taon siyang nawala – no scratch that, simula pagkabuhay ko sa mundong to wala akong kinikilalang ama.

I glared at him still having tears in my eyes.

"I don't have a father, kung meron man ay nasa langit na ito. So if you could excuse me, let me go home. I would act like nothing would happen." I'm on the verge of storming out of there but he stopped me.

"Yumi, let me explain-" I faced him.

"I don't need your f*cking explanation, my father is dead. Is it that hard to understand?" Iwinakli ko ang kamay nya na pumipigil sakin.

"Umabot ako sa edad na to na walang ama at ina, therefore I can live by myself without depending on anyone." I seriously said and walk out.

Ramdam ko ang mga titig ng tao pero di ko ito pinansin at mariin na pinahid ang mga luha ko.

"Yumi!" I heard him call and I could hear his footsteps kaya mas lalo ko ding binilisan ang paglalakad ko. 

Nagulat nalang ako nang harangin ako ng dalawang taong nakaitim, they are wearing formal attire, the looks of it, they seem to be the bodyguard of Matthew.

"Get out of my way." I seriously said but they didn't move. 

I clench my fists. Inuubos talaga nila ang pasensya ko. I punched one of them pero di ko inaasahang maiiwasan niya ito. 

Di ko namalayan na naabutan na ako ni Matthew. Hinihingal pa sya kakatakbo.

"Y-yumi, let me e-explain." I impassively looked at him. 

"I don't want to listen to nonsense things." I straightforwardly said.

"This is a serious matter we're talking about. You are my daughter, please believe that." nagmamakaawa niya akong tinignan.

"No, you are not, stop brainwashing me." I sturdily denied what he said.

"Then, you don't give me a choice." He then looks at the people behind me. "You know what to do," he said.

Agad naman akong ginapangan ng kaba. What would they do? Biglang pumasok sa isip ko ang sinabi ni Xionus. Matthew is one of the mafia bosses, meaning he also can be a dangerous person.

Sana nakinig nalang talaga ako kay Xionus.

"Ahh! Bring me down!" sigaw ko nang bigla nila akong binuhat na parang sako ng bigas.
