"Yumi, what happened to you?" bungad niya nang makasakay ako sa sasakyan niya. Litong lito ang mukha niya habang tinitigan ang kabuoan ko.

Sino namang di malilito eh sabog na sabog ang buhok ko tapos ang basa pa ng damit ko. Para akong basang sisiw sa itsura ko.

"Here wear this para di ka lamigin." Binigay niya sa akin ang suot niyang jacket at agad na in-off yung aircon ng sasakyan para di ako lamigin. Tahimik ko din itong isinuot.

I remained silent for the whole time at ramdam ko ang kagustuhan niyang sumbatan ako ng mga tanong pero tinitigan niya lang ako. I felt so numb to the point na ayaw nang tumulo ng mga luha ko.

He frustratedly sigh and droves out the car out of there. Inihatid niya ako kila Zel dahil yun ang favor ko sa kanya.

"Yumi, what happened?!" pambungad ni Zel sa akin. They both have the same reaction at gusto kong tawanan ito but instead of a laugh a sob came out from my mouth. I thought di na ako iiyak but when I saw my bestfriend my tears started to build up making my vision blurry. Ilang beses na ba akong umiyak?

Agad na nagpaalam sa amin si Khael. I could see in his face that he is worried about me but despite the curiosity he remained quiet and leave.

"Sleep tight you two, may pasok pa tayo bukas. I'll fetch you tomorrow." He kissed Zel on her forehead at agad namang nagblush ang bestfriend ko. I wanted to ask about their relationship but now is not the right time.

We watched as Khael's car travel further enough. Agad akong inalalayan ni Zel at kinuha ang bagahe na dala ko.

Zel bombarded me with questions as soon as I step my foot on her room.

"What happened? Bakit namamaga yang mga mata mo? Si Xionus ba ang may kasalan niyan? Anong nangyari? Tell me!" she asked without even breathing.

I immediately sat on her bed. My energy was drained, I couldn't talk any further.

"I'll just talk tomorrow." I said and lie down on her bed. Bumuntong hininga nalang siya at ramdam ko ang paghila niya sa kumot para matabunan ang katawan ko.

I know that she's also curious about what really happened but she understands my situation. Silence is what I need the most, silence for my heart and mind. I'm grateful that she understands.

She turned off the lights and lied down next to me. I closed my eyes at siguro dahil sa pagod madali akong nakatulog. How I wish I could sleep this peacefully forever.

The next day, magang-maga ang mga mata ko, para akong sinuntok ng mga tambay sa kanto sa sobrang maga nito.

"I'll be absent today, Zel." I groaned as I cover myself with the blanket.

Pilit kinukuha ni Zel ang kumot pero hinigpitan ko ang pagkakapit dito.

"Di pwede yun, Yumi! Paano na yung lessons na maleleft out! Scholar ka pa naman," she said. I just groaned in disapproval. Minsan lang naman to eh, I just don't want to see him.

"Just this once," I whispered pero sigurado akong rinig niya.

She sighed in defeat. "May utang ka pang chika sa akin mamaya." Rinig kong sabi niya bago lumabas sa kwarto.

Ilang minuto akong nasa ganoong posisyon nang mapagpasyahan kong magbreakfast muna. I headed downstairs, agad naman akong inasikaso ng maid nila pero sinabihan ko nalang na kaya ko naman ang sarili ko.

Zel's mom is not around in the house mukhang pumunta ata sa ibang bansa, a business trip, maybe. Mag isa lang akong kumakain sa malaki nilang lamesa, I asked the maids kung kumain na ba sila, they said no, I asked them to eat with me pero tumanggi sila, di ko sila mapipilit.
