Short and sad. I wanted to do right by them and not over or under dramatize the trauma.

When Jo woke up there was sadness hanging in the air. A sadness that she had long dreaded. She slowly rolled out of bed going to prepare her protein bowl and Lizzies morning smoothie. Her feet were heavy with each step. After she ate her breakfast she sat at the piano. Her fingers found the keys as her heart began breaking.

No, not here

You're not anymore

In our hearts

You will live on

Where there's no more sorrow

And no more pain

No more storm clouds

No more rain

Your work is done

You've been set free

So rest in peace

Rest in peace

Lizzie wasn't surprised when she woke up to find herself alone. She could hear gentle singing from the living room but she wasn't able to make out the words. She looked up to see a picture hanging on her wall. Tears flooded her eyes as her shoulders began to shake. It was a picture of Lizzie and Chadwick laughing while they cooked something Jo sat beside them on the counter laughing. He was often seen at the Olsen house with his wife Simone. He had this wisdom and light about him. He reminded her of Jo in many ways. She stood up taking a deep breath before venturing down the stairs.

It's so hard to understand

How to let go

Of your hand

To let you fly with

New found wings

To that land where

Angels sing

Jo heard her wife entering the room but was too occupied to look. Lizzie walked downstairs seeing her wife sitting at the piano, tears streaking down her face as she sang broken and quivering words. Lizzie came beside Jo sitting at the large bench before resting her head on Jo's shoulder.

Your work is done

You've been set free

So rest in peace

Rest in peace

Your work is done

You've been set free

So rest in peace

Rest in peace

Rest in peace

Rest in peace

Jo's hand pulled away from the piano as she turned Lizzie pulled her close. The two sobbed into one another arms. After a few minutes, they moved to the couch. Jo connected her computer to the TV. Video after video they saw him, his laugh, his infectious smile. They laughed at. countless home videos ad bloopers.

That night the two pulled into a church parking lot in South Carolina. Jo and Lizzie made their way through the dark standing in front of the cold rock that marked where their dear friend lay to rest. Lizzie placed a bouquet of purple and black flowers.

"Wakanda Forever."
