Oh, this is gonna be a gas!

Pitbull of a wife.

"What time are they coming down?"

"I have to leave to pick them up at the airport in uhm-" Jo looked at her watch "20 minutes."

"I'm so excited!"

"I know! We haven't seen Lil C in months."

"You FaceTimed Rose...?

"Uhm two days ago. She wanted to show me some of her artwork."

"Precious."

"It's my job as fairy Godmother."

Lizzie walked over wrapping her arm around Jo letting her hands lay heavy against the back of her neck. "You are a very good fairy Godmother."

Jo kissed Lizzie's forehead "You should take a quick nap before those two rugrats get here."

Lizzie looked into Jo's piercing blue eyes "Will you lay with me till you leave?"

"Of course," Jo said softly

20 minutes later Jo grabbed the Keys to her Bronco before taking the short 30-minute drive to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin. "Hey, I'm here. Where are you guys at?"

"Uhm- right outside the North main entrance."

"Okay me too. Do you see the Bronco?"

"We do! Do you see Colin?"

"Yeah, he's waving his arms." Jo laughed

She pulled up quickly parking and hopping out to help the Jost-Johanson family. She was instantly hit by a sweet seven-year-old crashing into her "Aunt Jo! Aunt Jo!"

Jo scooped her up "Rosie Posie!"

"Rosie hop in the car baby so we can go see aunt Lizzie," Scarlett said, Scarlett got in the passenger seat while Coilin sat in the back with the kids. Scarlett talked to Jo while Colin kept the two occupied in the back seat "How are you?"

"Good, really good." Jo smiled, Scarlett punched Jo's arm hard "Ah what the he-heck."

Scarlett rolled her eyes "You almost died! Chris called me every day to give me updates. You scared all of us."

"I know," Jo sighed "I was so scared."

"How Lizzie?"

"Pregnant. Very pregnant. And I've never seen anything more gorgeous." Jo smiled,

When they pulled up to the house Colin said "Jo this is pretty nice."

"Thank you, Colin," Jo smiled

They quickly unloaded the car and Jo took ahold of Cosmos car seat carrying into the house. The sight of Jo walking in with a 3-month-year-old in a car seat was enough to make Lizzie tear up. Those tears quickly changed to lust when she saw the way Jo's biceps flexed under the weight of the car seat. Lizzie took a slow breath whispering to herself "Get ahold of yourself, Liz."

Jo showed Colin and Scarlett the room they would be in. A bassinet is already in the room. Jo sat the car seat on the counter before plucking Cosmo out of the car seat. She showered him and kisses and blew raspberries on his cheek. Lizzie watched in amazement at the way her wife handled him. Scarlett walked up beside Lizzie "Sight for sore eyes aye?" 

Lizzie smiled "You have no idea."

Rose tugged on Jo "Aunt Jo?"

"Whats up bub?"

"Where am I sleeping?"

Jo handed Cosmo off to Liz before squatting in front of Rose "Well Rosie Posie that's the fun part. Me and you are going to build a fort in the living room and have a movie night!"

"Really?!"

"Really!"

Later that day Scarlett, Jo, Lizzie, and Rosie walked down downtown Kyle Texas. Rose walked between Lizzie and Jo while Scarlett walked on Jo's side. Someone approached them a little too quickly for Jo's liking. She quickly scooped Rose up handing her to Scarlett before stepping a few faces in front of them. Jo was good at reading people and this person's body language flashed red flags. Jo stood tall and stout in front of her family "What you and your wife do is despicable." The man spewed. 

Jo's hands moved into a fist as she said "Scarlett why don't you girls go in that store."

When Lizzie and Scarlett stepped inside the store Lizzie kept an eye on the outside. She watched as the man spewed hateful words at Jo. She couldn't hear him but she could read a few words here and there. It wasn't until she saw him flash a side piece Lizzie got extremely nervous. Jo moved her hand just right to let him see that she too was packing. Jo hated guns she really did but she has danced with death far too much. When the man left. Jo walked into the store hugging Lizzie "I don't want you walking downtown alone anymore okay?"

Lizzie nodded "Okay baby." she paused "Thank you,"

"For what?"

"Being my pitbull. I could see your bite from here."

Jo smiled lightly "Let's go home. I have a fort to build."

That night long after Rosie fell asleep Jo snuck out of the fort only to run into Scarlett feeding Cosmo on the couch. Scarlett looked at Jo "Sneaking away to the wife?"

"No. Can't sleep."

Is it the guy from earlier?"

"Yeah,"

"You know you can always talk to me."

"Oh, I know. It just made me think about some of the sadness and sickness of the world and how Liz and I will be bringing two humans into that world."

"I know how you feel but it's kids like ours that will change the world just as we are trying to improve from our parent's world."

Jo smiled "I thought I was supposed to be the wise one."

"You are. I've just been a Mama longer."

"True"

"You're going to be a great mother Jo."

"Thank you Scarlett.
