It was New Year and the couple was alone for the first time since Christmas. They would have around a month alone before Jarnette would move back down to help with the twins. Lizzie had really poped. They were on baby watch starting now. Jarnette, Lily, and Morgan all had pagers and jets waiting to fly down to Texas to meet the two newest Olsens. Jo sat crisscrossed on the floor a slew of wood, metal, and mesh parts around her. She had already put the cribs, changing table, and dressers together. It was time for her to assemble the Bassinet. Jo had her back leaned against the master bedroom while Lizzie lay close. She would run a calming hand through Jo's hair every time she let out a frustrated huff.
As the sunset, Jo found herself triumphant "Yes!"
"One done baby. It looks great." Lizzie smiled patting Jo's shoulder.
Once Jo was done with the second she stretched looking at the clock before going into the kitchen coming back with two champagne glasses and sparkling cider. She quickly poured the amber liquid before turning to place them on her nightstand. She crawled into bed gently rubbing her hand over Lizzie's cheek "Lizzie bear?" she cooed gently,
Lizzie nudged against her hand letting out a content sigh, "Yes?"
"It's time to get up baby,"
Lizzie wined eyes shut, "Mhmm no."
"Just one new year kiss and you can go back to sleep,"
Lizzie's eyes opened "Kisses?!"
Jo laughed at her wife "Yes." Jo shifted "Let me help you sit up,"
Lizzie got situated much more upright just as the countdown started. They counted down along with Ryan before they leaned over kissing each other. Just as they made contact you could hear fireworks in the distance. Jo pulled back "I knew we were magic!"
Lizzie laughed at her wife, "Happy New Year Baby,"
Jo kissed Lizzie again "Happy New Year Baby," Jo leaned down kissing Lizzies large bump "Happy New Year you two,"
"It's their birth year," Lizzie smiled,
"Are you ready to not be pregnant?"
"I miss champagne,"
"Well," Jo reached behind her grabbing the glasses "I know it's not the same but I thought we could sip some cider,"
"You'd give up your 'fancy new years bottle of champagne for me?"
Jo sat up "What up with the disdain around 'fancy new years bottle of champagne' it is very fancy. Compass has kept this tradition for years to release only four bottles of sparkling wine (Champagne) every year. Well, five but we always get one."
"Your right honey, how rude of me to call your champagne not special," she mocked
"But these are special. I had them make non-alcoholic sparkling wine. This bottle is the only one in existence."
"You did that for me?" Lizzie asked with those big puppy eyes
"I did baby," Jo smiled kissing Lizzies, Lizzie started to cry "What?! What is it?"
Lizzie sniffled, "It's nothing I'm just all hormonal and you are very sweet,"
Jo smiled kissing Lizzie's forehead "I love you,"
"I love you more,"
"I love you most,"
"Never,"
"Never,"
"And we love you Olsen babies,"
"And cant wait to meet you,"
Lizzie curled into Jo her eyes already closed. Jo basked in the love as she gently sipped what was left of her cider. She looked down to see Red's little nose bumped against Lizzies bump a content look on her little fluffy face as she slept. Jo reached her hand out toying sweetly with the dogs ear "We love you too Red lady,"
