Jo woke up with a set of arms wrapped around her neck. The two fell onto the bed in a hug and stayed in that position. Lizzies gentle snores tickled her neck she rubbed her wifes back enjoying the feeling of the twins between them. Jo stayed awake just examining every inch of Lizzie that she could see. It was maybe an hour after Jo woke up that Lizzie began to stir.
"Hey," Jo said gently, combing her hands through Lizzies short locks
"Mmmhm." Lizzie hummed
"Are you three ready for breakfast?"
Lizzie smiled into Jo's neck "In a minute. I just want to cuddle."
"Okay baby." Jo smiled
They laid like that until Lizzies stomach interrupted the two Jo and Lizzie laughed as Jo said "Well I guess it's time to get up."
"I think so too."
They rolled out of bed making their way downstairs. The two got to work gliding around the kitchen, the gentle thumping of Ani DiFranco coming through the speakers hidden all around their home. They sat down at the island side by side. Jo asked, "I think I'm going to come up one weekend while we are down in Texas and get the nursery done so I don't have to worry about you being near the paint fumes."
"Do I get any hint to what you are going to do?"
"Nope!" Jo said smugly popping the P
Once the two were done eating Jo stood up taking hold of both their plates quickly rinsing them and putting them in the dishwasher.
"I have to go into Marvel tomorrow and talk to Kevin about a running point from Texas but I'm all yours today."
"I have to do that commentary on twelve photos for Vogue. Then just relax. Yesterday wore me out."
"Do you want to talk about yesterday?"
Lizzie sighed "Uhm Id be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. But the nomination is the honor." She let out another sigh "But winning would have been so cool."
Jo took hold of her wife's hand "Well I think you should have won."
Lizzie smiled "Thanks, baby. I really don't know how I feel."
Jo gave Lizzies head a kiss sitting beside her "Well when you decide what those feeling are you can always come to me."
"Thanks, baby." Lizzie kissed Jos cheek
"Want to go through all these breathtaking photos with me and pick your favorites?"
"Sure!"
"I like this one."
"Uhm no"
"Why?"
"I look fat."
"you're pregnant."
Lizzie raised her eyebrow "So that makes me fat?"
"What?! No! I-I I should shut up shouldn't I?"
Lizzie patted Jos cheek "Smart girl."
Once the twelve were picked Lizzie quickly added her comments before sending them to Janelle Okwodu.
