A/N: Just a heads up in this story Chris Evans adopts Dodger in 2013, not 2017 it will all make sense when you get there.
Lizzie was standing in front of the sink forearm deep in soap and water washing dishes. She couldn't sleep today was the day they learned about how and when she could conceive her and Jo's child. A swarm of emotions consumed Lizzie she couldn't tell you how many times she had washed that plate. She dreamed of their future child what they would look like the hair they would have the eyes that would look at them. The way their children would carry themselves the friends they would have, would they be kind? wise? daring? If she closed her eyes she could hear the pitter-patter of ten tiny toes slapping on the hardwood and the splashing in their pool. She was pulled out of her dream by the sound of bare feet skipping through the house. A warm pair of arms wrapped around her waist she fell back into the person behind her. Jo laughed lightly in her ear before kissing her on her cheek several times never removing her lips from Lizzie's skin. Lizzie said calmly but happily "Well good morning to you."
"Good morning!"
"My my aren't we chipper," Lizzie said in a very Maleficent way before laughing
"Today is baby day! How could I not be excited?!"
Lizzie turned in Jo's arms so they were facing one another "Today is not baby day. Baby happens here, in this house, in that bedroom."
Jo gave her a smirk "Is that so?"
Lizzie leaned in "You know it."
Jo pulled back so she could look at Lizzie's face in its entirety "So today we are checking your womb and picking out a baby daddy?"
Lizzie scrunched her nose "I already picked a baby daddy."
Jo gently pushed Lizzie away "What? Who?"
Lizzie looked at Jo "You." Lizzie had to swallow as she watched Jo's eyes darken with desire right before her. She could see Jo furrow her brow as those bright blues transitioned to a deep blue. Her aura changed her light yellow was replaced by an even more inviting sense of reds and oranges and yellows the type of fire that burns for days. Jo's lip started to turn up into a snarl but Lizzie crashed her lips against Jos before she could. Jo pulled Lizzie close letting her hands squeeze on Lizzie's hips while Lizzie had her hands placed firmly on the side of Jo's face. Only when oxygen became a necessity did the two break apart. They looked at one another breathing heavily. Jo's eyes stayed on Lizzie's face before darting to the clock "Shit. We gotta go."
Lizzie quickly turned to look at the clock. They quickly went and found their shoes before climbing into Lizzie's care driving to the appointment. Jo looked over at Lizzie. She could feel the nervousness radiating off of her. Jo took one hand off the wheel finding Lizzie's hand she brought it to her lips kissing it before saying "It's gonna be great baby." Lizzie gave her wife a gentle smile squeezing her hand. When they parked the car Jo quickly stood first quickly sweeping the area for paps before going around helping Lizzie out. Due to Lizzie's popularity, Jo handed Lizzie a pair of dark sunglasses wrapping her in her arms. The couple quickly made their way through the waiting room and straight to an examination room. Lizzie took off her bottoms draping the blanket over her before sitting on the exam table. Jo sat in the chair beside her. After a few minutes, there was a knock on the door before Dr. King entered the room.
She smiled at the couple before saying, "Lizzie, it's good to see you again! Mrs. Olsen, I presume?"
"The very one." Lizzie smiled
Jo stuck out her hand "Josephine Olsen. Call me Jo."
"Well, Jo it is so good to finally meet you after hearing this girl talk about you so much."
