Happy 100th Part!!!
October 28th
The day Jo and Lizzie had long been waiting for. Lizzie was on facetime as the tablet sat beside her wife as the doctor said "Josephine, you have tested negative for Covid the last several days!"
Jo smiled "Thats awesome! Can I go home now?"
He smiled at Jo and Lizzie "It is a great honor to tell you that you can go home tomorrow!"
Jo and Elizabeth wore bright smiles and wet eyes as tears slipped away from both of them. Once he left Jo grabbed the tablet looking at Lizzie "I get to come home,"
Lizzie nodded taking in a snotty breath "You get to come, home baby,"
October 29th
Jo waited anxiously in the hospital back in her jeans and sweatpants. Just then the nurse walked in "Your rides here. Let's go!"
Jo rolled her eyes at the wheelchair, "Im not getting in that."
"Sorry, hospital policy."
"I own the hospital,"
"Fine. But no sewing,"
"I might give you a raise,"
"Thank you, Mrs. Olsen,"
"Thank you for keeping me alive. Now let's go!"
"Right this way,"
Jo walked out the door and down the long hall. She road down the elevator once it docked on the ground floor the doores opened and Jo was greeted by people on either side clapping. She had tears in her eyes as she said thank you through her mask. At the end of the line stood Morgan and Lily. Jo's tears multiplied the closer she got. As soon as she was close enough they both pulled her close kissing the sides of her head. Lily cried "Oh my sweet girl,"
Morgan kissed Jo's cheek over and over "You bastard! Don't you ever do that to us or your wife ever again!"
Jo pulled away wiping her tears "I won't,"
"I know your lying but I am so fucking happy to see you,"
"And I am so I just really want to go see my wife and kids!"
Morgan wrapped her arms around Jo's shoulder "Come on Mama let get you home,"
As they drove home Jo asked, "How was she, really?"
Morgan looked into the rearview mirror to look at her best friend "Not great, she had good days and bad days. Sleeping was always hard but I cuddled when she would let me."
"Has she talked to Jade Gordon? Jade has always been good at calming her down."
"She has," Lily nodded "Jade wanted to come down but Liz talked her out of it,"
Lily got out of the truck first when they arrived home giving Jo and Morgan just a moment alone "How much have I missed Mo?"
Morgan took a long breath "Just hold her and never let her go, she's in the living room we will be in the sunroom whenever you two are ready."
Jo nodded somberly before stepping out of the truck. Jo quickly walked through the front door before nearly being knocked over by a body knocking into her. She instantly recognized the perfume and started sobbing into her wife's shoulder. Lizzie slowly and carefully guided them to the couch before they both sat down fully collapsing into one another. Jo cried into Lizzie's shoulder "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry."
Lizzie rubbed her wife's back "Shh, shh. All that's forgotten. All that matters is your home and your safe."
Jo pulled away looking Lizzie in her eyes "I should have never left you, left you three."
Lizzie cupped Jo's face wiping her tears "This is not your fault. I said things I shouldn't have and for that I'm sorry,"
"I forgive you,"
Lizzie nodded before letting out a gentle chuckle tears in her eyes "Now shut up and kiss me."
Jo slams her lips into her wife. Lizzie let her hand rest on Jo's cheek and neck while jo reached her hand out to Lizzie's bump. It was bigger than she remembered as she placed her open palm into Lizzie's bump she felt something, something that made her jerk back "I-is that my babies?" Jo asked
Lizzie bit her lip to conceal the sob before nodding "Thats the babies,"
Jo let out a joyous laugh as tears filled her eyes again. Her hands danced all over Lizzie's bump as she felt the babies chase her fingers. Lizzie looked at her wife her smile so bright her eyes so alive. Lizzie said, "Come here let me see your hands." Jo took her hands off Lizzie's bump before Lizzie took hold of her wife's hand putting one on the top left and one on the bottom right "That little kick up at the top that's Adaline and that fist on the bottom is Bettan."
"Thats incredible," Jo said in a love haze as she gazed at her wife bump. Jo finally pulled away from the bump before saying "We should probably everyone in,"
"We probably should,"
That night Lizzie laied in the bed running her hand through Jo's long locks as Jo laid her head just above her wife bump her arms wrapped around the twins. She listens to Lizzie's heartbeat while feeling the gentle tapping of her children,
Lizzie whispered into the dark bedroom, "I love you,"
"I love you more,"
"I love you most,"
"Never,"
"Never."
Jo kissed Lizzie's bump twice "And I love you too my babies,"
"Promise me you'll never leave again," Lizzie whispered "Never leave us,"
"Oh baby I wish I could, my job" she corrected herself "Our jobs force us to leave but I promise to always try and bring you guys with me."
"No more leaving till the twins are here. Deal?"
"Deal,"
The two slept well into the afternoon.
