Lizzie was sitting on the couch when her wife came skipping into the living room plopping down beside her. "Guess what came up on my memories today!"
"What?" Lizzie asked
Jo turned her phone around to show a picture Lizzie had taken two years ago. It was Jo laying in a hospital bed a drugged-up smile on her face while she held a thumbs up. Lizzie looked at it frowning slightly. "That was the weirdest day of my life."
"Your tellen me. I didn't get to wear my suit."
Lizzie lifted her wife's shirt looking at the scar that sat right above Jo's right hip. Jo said "Bye-bye bikinis."
Lizzie looked up at her "I think the fuck not. You gorgeous greek goddess."
"Oh stop it."
"I'm serious," Lizzie said her joking tone no longer present. "I truly have never laid eyes on anything quite as gorgeous as you."
Jo blushed saying "You Mrs. Elizabeth Chase Olsen sure know how to sweet talk."
Lizzie smiled curling into Jo's side "I learned it from you."
Jo let out a soft chuckle before saying sadly "That was a weird day."
Two Years Earlier
Jo and Lizzie were in the kitchen making food when Jo clutched her stomach bracing on the counter. Lizzie was quick to bring her hands to Jos's side to support her. "You were tossing all night. Baby, what is it?"
"It's just period cramps that's all."
"Are you sure? That seemed bad."
Jo leaned over kissing Lizzie's head "Yeah I'm sure baby."
"Well you go lay down and I'll get some medicine, a hot water bottle, and finish breakfast."
Jo stood her ground "Oh no baby I'm okay."
Lizzie turned to her wife arms crossed "Josephine if you do not go sit your ass on that couch so help me I will drag you by your ear."
Jo hung her head going to the couch. She laid down with a groan. Lizzie looked up from her place behind the island to see Jo laid out. She moved the pot off of the stove. She walked out of the kitchen. Jo heard Lizzie jogging up the stairs before hearing her jog back down to the kitchen turning the faucet on. Lizzie returned with a glass of water in one hand and pills in the other. She squatted down beside the couch handing them to Jo. Jo took them before laying back down. Lizzie observed her wife. She had only seen Jo like this on a few occasions. Jo asked, "What time are they coming over to get you started?"
"Not till later baby. You just rest up."
She kissed Jo's forehead it was a little warm but not enough for Lizzie to worry. Lizzie continued to prepare breakfast. She brought Jo a pumpkin smoothie filled with all kinds of foods to ease her cramps. Jo weakly sat up and the sight of it broke Lizzie's heart. After they finished Lizzie took her wife's cup kissing her head. It was a lot warmer now. So warm in fact Lizzie quickly dumped the dishes in the sink running upstairs to grab the thermometer. She jogged back downstairs handing it to Jo. Jo placed it in her mouth. Lizzie waited impatiently for the beep. When the device chimed Lizzie quickly took hold of it reading 100.0 Lizzie gasped. She quickly grabbed hold of the blanket off the back of the couch tucking Jo in before going off to search for the medicine. After Jo was medicated and sleeping soundly Lizzie sat cross-legged in front of the couch. Her back was pressed against it. At one point during Jo's slumber, Jo had turned to let one arm drape onto Lizzie's shoulder. Lizzie took hold of the hand pulling it to her lips. After about an hour Jo slowly woke up with a groan. Lizzie turned to look at Jo "Oh honey you don't look so good."
