"Seventeen!" Niya stood, shocked. "It's not what it looks like!"

The Android scoffed. "Really?"

Trunks stood, already glaring and ready to curse him out, but he was silenced.

"We're just friends!" Niya insisted. "I've only ever loved you that way!"

He turned to her, surprised at her quick response. Was it true? Or was it a lie?

Seventeen frowned. "Prove it."

Niya clenched her fists before slowly walking over to Seventeen. His energy beam faded as she approached.

She wanted to cry and scream, but she held in her pain and placed a hand on his cheek.

From behind, Trunks watched with wide eyes as she kissed Seventeen. It wasn't even a light kiss either. It was a full, passionate, long kiss.

The more he watched, the more horrified he became. It was atrocious. How could anyone kiss an Android—a monster—that way?

His insides burned with disgust, with surprise, but most importantly pain. He had been so close to kissing Niya, and maybe she would have kissed him back. But seeing her lips on...

Did he really want to kiss her?

Trunks began to step back, anger boiling inside him. If only he had kissed her first, truly kissed her, like she was kissing Seventeen now.

All he had was 'if only.'

After an eternity, the kiss finally ended.

Seventeen smirked. "You haven't kissed me like that in a long time."

Niya turned away but nodded. "It has been a while."

He placed a hand on her hip. "Does this mean you've finally come to your senses? That you can't be without me? That you love me?" his voice and expression softened.

Niya wanted to run away, but she heard her son's coos and turned to him. He was chewing on his fingers, looking at them curiously. A sob almost escaped her. She was desperate. She couldn't stand the thought of Seventeen taking her son again.

"Yes," she said, biting back her emotions. "...I love you."

Seventeen smiled and held her hand with his free hand. "So you really just needed time after all." He leaned in to kiss her, to which she lightly reciprocated.

He then smirked victoriously over at Trunks. "You see, Trunks? Niya is my woman. Mine."

Trunks stared numbly as his heart continued to shatter within him.

Niya stared miserably. 'I'm sorry, Trunks. I couldn't let him kill you. Go,' she told him telepathically.

His chest ached with hopelessness as once again he was able to do nothing. Once again Niya was in Seventeen's clutches. All because of his fault.

Trunks silently turned away and flew off.

"This place is a mess?"

Niya looked around with her brows raised at the small, simple yet comfortable house of Seventeen.

There were a few blankets around, bottles lying about, and toys scattered. It was shocking seeing Seventeen's house a mess, when she had always known him for picking up after himself. Everything was always clean. Even his truck.
