The air was chilly as the saiyaness zoomed towards Capsule Corp. She held Niko close to her chest to keep him warm and asleep, but there was no such luck.

Niko had woken up with so much movement and cried in her chest. He was not accustomed to flying nor the cold.

Niya rubbed his head and flashed into her brilliant gold Super Saiyan. The golden aura wrapped around them and provided warmth. Her son's cries finally calmed.

"There, there, baby. We're almost home," she assured him.

"M-Mama...," his grip of her tightened.

Niya kissed the top of his head and sped up.

Soon, they arrived at Capsule Corp. The sky was consumed in darkness and silence blanketed the building. The night chilled at their skin, making Niya shiver. Her dress was still torn in some areas, and Seventeen had yanked off her jacket.

Niya sighed and held Niko close as she headed inside. She was embarrassed at her state but she had no other options. Seventeen didn't know about them living at Capsule Corp, so he would never to look for her there.

She remained in Super Saiyan to keep Niko warm. In the night, Capsule Corp was always cold. She didn't mind the cold, even if she was as barefoot. Just as long as her son was alright, and they were far away from Seventeen, that was enough for her.

Niya furrowed her brows as she avoided loose wires and dents in the floor. She kept going and eventually made it to what she remembered was her room. She flicked the light switch and blinked against the sudden brightness.

The room was the same as before she left. Some of her clothes were on a chair and some of Niko's baby clothes were on her bed. That was the outfit she was going to dress him in when Seventeen would return him to her after those first three days.

It was horrifying that it had been ten months ago. She had let herself suffer for ten months.

Beside her bed was a bassinet, but Niko was too big for it now. She pushed it to the side and laid Niko on her bed. His crying had calmed and he was sucking on his fingers as he stared up at her.

Niya smiled before giving him a kiss and moving the clothes to the side. She then lifted him to pull down the covers and crawled into bed with him.

She only groaned when she forgot to turn off the lights. With a sigh, she got up to do so, but she stopped before she could.

Before the open door stood the lavender haired boy.

"Niya?" Trunks questioned, taken aback. He was in his pajamas: a simple white shirt and gray sweats. His hair was a bit ruffled and stuck up a bit. His blue eyes still sparkled in worry at her, but they darkened once he saw her ripped clothes and bruises.

The saiyaness became ashamed and turned around, hugging herself. "I...I left. I can't be with him anymore," she said. "I brought Niko too. I didn't want to leave him with..." She gave a shaky sigh as she looked over at Niko in the bed.

Niko was already lying face up, trying to sleep.

Niya flinched at a hand on her shoulder.

Trunks turned her around and hugged her tightly, much to her surprise. "I'm so happy that you're away from him. I promise I'll defeat him so you won't ever have to be hurt by him again."

She pressed her face into his chest, feeling her face heat up. Her eyes burned and her body trembled as she began to cry. Her arms wrapped tightly around him, grateful she wasn't dreaming. "Thank you, Trunks..."

He rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. "Do you want me to keep you company?"

"...Please?"
