Ayata opened her eyes and looked around. The beach was still there, so was the resort. It was pitch black out, only illuminated by the crescent moon.

Her ears strained at the gentle crash of the waves. Her nose twitched with the scent of the salty water. Her arms grew goosebumps from the chilly air.

She looked down at her toes and wriggled them in the cool sand. It was grainy.

Ayata closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The chilly air filled her lungs and left them.

She opened them and looked up at the crescent moon. She smiled.

She could feel and smell and see and taste. She had a body.

Finally. She was free.

Ayata rubbed her arms and giggled. "Niyata, it really was you. Our souls were the same. You special girl. Our bodies merged perfectly," she said aloud.

When she neither felt or heard a response, she placed a hand over her heart. "Niyata?"

She let out a breath at feeling nothing.

Ayata turned back to the resort. "Trunks? Nikolas?" she sensed them. Her eyes glowed red as she saw their souls. They were small white clouds in their chests.

She walked inside as quietly as she could. She suddenly felt the urge to see Niko.

Ayata went into Niko's room and saw him sleeping on his side, drooling on his pillow. She couldn't help but smile and caress his adorable face. It was unexpected, but she loved him immediately.

"Sweet dreams, little one," she kissed his forehead before heading out of his room.

Ayata put her waist length curly hair behind her chin ears and headed for Trunks.

Trunks was asleep on his side, an arm thrown over where Niya had been before.

She gasped at her heart skipping a beat at his handsome, resting face. She had missed much of what happened after Trunks kissed Niya.

Ayata felt images and emotions rushing through her. She chuckled. "My my. I didn't know either of you be so wild like that," she bit her thumb, amused.

Trunks then stirred. His arm then tightened around nothing before sitting up. Drowsy, he rubbed an eye. "Niya? Come back to bed."

Ayata gave a curious expression. He thought she was Niya? "O-Oh. Okay," she awkwardly replied and joined him back in bed.

He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around her, spooning her. He kissed her neck and his breathing settled, going back to sleep.

Ayata blushed but it calmed at his protective arms. She couldn't help but caress them, relaxing at the touch of another person.

She couldn't remember what the touch of another person felt like until then. It was wonderful.

Before Ayata knew it, tears streamed down her cheeks. She held Trunks tightly before falling asleep.

The next morning, Niya had a pounding headache. She groaned and rubbed her temples.

"Are you okay?"

She rolled over to see her husband. He was already wide awake. "Just a headache," she smiled it off.

"So early?" Trunks questioned and kissed her forehead. "Better?"

Niya giggled. "Not really."

"Maybe I should try a better kiss," he pressed his lips against hers.
