Jack: Oh I see. So it's Gizmo v. AK, also known as Alex Kaiba
Joey: Hey Kaiba, what's the meaning of this eh?
Kaiba: An adopted son of mine, now shut up Wheeler!
Joey: Nyeh...
Announcer: The following duel is part of the 1st part of the 1st round. First, Gizmo!
Announcer: And his opponent, AK!
Kaiba: Well, my protege and adopted son will face off against Gizmo so let's see what we have here.
Jack: Well, someone who is the spiritual successor to Seto against the spiritual successor of Kaiser Zane Truesdale. Let us see who wins this one.
Announcer: Let the duel begin!

Turn 1
Gizmo draws a card
He summons Proto-Cyber Dragon *LIGHT/ Machine/ ATK 1100/ DEF 600) and sets a card facedown and calls it a turn.
Turn 2
AK draws a card.
He activates a Spell Card, Soul Exchange. He uses Gizmo's Proto-Cyber Dragon as tribute to summon Curse of Dragon (DARK/ Dragon/ ATK 2000/ DEF 1500).
Unable to attack due to Soul Exchange's effect, he ends his turn.
Turn 3
Gizmo draws a card.
He places a monster in facedown defence and activates Swords of Revealing Light, which has the effect that the opponent is unable to declare an attack for 3 turns.
Gizmo also activates another spell card, A Feather of the Phoenix, which causes him to discard 1 card from his hand (Spikebot) to return 1 card (Proto Cyber Dragon) to the top of the deck.He ends his turn.
Turn 4
AK draws a card
*Swords of Revealing Light Turn 1*
He activates a Quick Play Spell Card, Mystical Space Typhoon, which destroys a Spell or Trap card on the field, which he uses to destroy Swords of Revealing Light.
He then summons Koumori Dragon (DARK/ Dragon/ ATK 1500/ DEF 1200).
During the Battle Phase, AK uses Curse of Dragon to destroy the facedown defense monster (Acrobat Monkey)
He then uses Koumori Dragon to do a direct attack

He summons Kaiser Sea Horse in attack position (LIGHT/ Sea Serpent/ ATK 1700/ DEF 1650)
During the Battle Phase, Curse of Dragon attacks Proto-Cyper Dragon but...
Gizmo: Ha! gotcha kid. Activate trap card, Attack Reflector Unit. I can Tribute m Proto-Cyber Dragon, which counts as a Cyber Dragon while on the field to special summon from my deck, Cyber Barrier Dragon (LIGHT/ Machine/ ATK 800/ DEF 2800) in Defense poition.
Replay occurs and AK decided not to continue the attack. He ends his turn.

Gizmo draws a card.
He sets a monster in facedown defense position and ends his turn.
Turn 8
AK draws a card
He activates a Spell Card, Dark Hole, which destroys all monsters on the field. With no counter measure, all monsters were indeed destroyed.
He then Special Summoned by its effect from the hand, Kaiser Vorse Raider in attack position (DARK/ Beast-Warrior/ ATK 1900/ DEF 1200) as there is no other monster under AK's control. He also summons Opticlops in attack position (DARK/ Fiend/ ATK 1800/ DEF 1700)
AK attacks first with Kaiser Vorse Raider

He then atacks first with Kaiser Vorse Raider and destroys the facedown monster (Machine King Prototype). Its effect then activates which causes its attack to increase by 500 ATK points (From 1900 ATK to 2400 ATK)
He attacks Gizmo directly with Opticlops

Jack: With the obvious bias, but anyway, AK wins handily against Gizmo who almost put up a fight.
Joey: What's the big idea making a relative fight eh Kaiba?
Kaiba: Well at least mine knows how to duel and fight with he same level of ruthlessness as his adoptive father - cackles -
Jack: And with this victory, AK will advance to the 2nd half of the 1st round against Crow
