Duel League Episode 1 - AK v. Pattou

Kaiba: Welcome to the inaugural episode of the Duel League!

Pyro goes off on both entrance ways

Kaiba: I am here joined by Jack Atlas...and Joey Wheeler.

Jack: Great to be here, Seto! We will now begin the road to interesting duels AND title defenses as well. Especially another championship that we will see in due time

Kaiba: That is right, But for now, we got an opening match which we announced during the Duel League Championship Tournament.

Joey: Oh yeah, the fantasy semifinal match that never was. AK v. Pattou.

Kaiba: Blue-Eyes versus Dark Magician. We shall see if we get the match we've all waited for.

Announcer: The following is the opening duel. First, AK!

Kaiba: Someone who's got a lot to prove since his elimination in the quarter finals. Someone who needs to reassert his dominance for a future shot at the Duel League Championship.

Joey: And I sense a pissed off Adoptive Father too

Kaiba: Fire your useless fourth rate duelist shots Wheeler. You will never know the feeling of beinga t the top!

Announcer: And his opponent, Pattou!

Kaiba: Another early elimination from the quarter finals. But AK wanted to challenge him to make things right.

Joey: Don't make us believe AK acted on his own to get this match. This is just to spite out Yug all because you can only bask in a tainted victory back in the Duelist Kingdom

Kaiba: I had my reason! 

Jack: Even that's low for a former Satellite like myself

Kaiba: Shut it you Ace Card stealing...

Jack: Oh so now you try to throw down with me, you spoiled, wealth up your ass piece of...

Joey: Hey! We got a duel to call RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE!

Kaiba: Announcer....

Announcer: Let the duel begin!

Turn 1 (AK 8000/ Pattou 8000)
AK draws a card

Kaiba: So if it had not been mentioned, their turn order is based on their ranking. AK is ranked 5th while Pattou is ranked 8th. The rankings are based on remaining life points before elimination and the stage of the tournament theey got eliminated in.

AK: I set two cards and summon, Battle Ox (EARTH/4*/Beast-Warrior/ATK1700/DEF1000). I end my turn

Kaiba: Impressive. Powerful start.

Joey: Don't forget who he's facing. An ace staller but may get his ace quicker than you think

Turn 2 (AK 8000/ Pattou 8000)
Pattou draws a card

Pattou: I set a card and a monster in defense to end my turn

Jack: Pattou isn't known for going on the offensive early but there is good reason

Kaiba: THat or he's a coward

Joey: Yeah, because your adoptive son is great in offense
