Kaiba: So we're back and this time we will be witnessing Gizmo trying once more to beat a God level duelist in Odin.
Joey: Wouldn't call him a God level duelist
Jack: Are you lacking in the north Wheeler? You got nothing in that noggin to say that!
Kaiba: Now you understand Atlas! This one doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
Joey: Hey, I speak for the fans you know.
Kaiba: More like the idiots.
Jack: Before this turns into another verbal war, announcer
Announcer: Duel League continues with another ranked duel.
Announcer: First, Odin (Rank 12; Record: 1-1)
Kaiba: One of the promising duelists with a middling record.
Joey: Well he has been seeing some problems but maybe this will be the start of a hot streak
Jack: As said before, Norse Gods are no joke. Bad hands are.
Kaiba: We'll see about his opponent if that one can get a win
Announcer: And his opponent, Gizmo (Rank 21; Record: 0 -2)
Kaiba: Oh, he's his opponent
Joey: This one can go either way once the machines come out to play
Jack: Norse Gods vs. Cyber Dragons. We'll see how this goes.
Announcer: Let the duel begin!
Turn 1 (Odin 8000/ Gizmo 8000)
Odin's Main Phase 1Odin: I set a monster and end my turn
Turn 2 (Odin 8000/ Gizmo 8000)
Gizmo draws a cardGizmo: I set a card and end my turn
Turn 3 (Odin 8000/ Gizmo 8000)
Odin draws a cardOdin: I summon Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant (DARK/2*/Fairy/Effect/ATK600/DEF0).
Kaiba: What a weak start!
Jack: Kaiba, that's not the point!
Odin: I use Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant as Link Material to Link Summon, Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant (LIGHT/Link-1/Fairy/Link/Effect/ATK800)
Jack: Here it comes!
Odin: Its effect activates. If it is Link Summoned, I can banish up to 3 cards from my hand and/or field to Special summon from my deck that many Nordic monsters from my deck in Defense Position and for the rest of my turn, I cannot Special Summon monsters except Aesir monsters. I am also unable to Normal Summon/Set any monsters.
Joey: It's Starting!
Odin: I banish my facedown Garmr of the Nordic Beasts (DARK/4*/Beast/Effect/ATK800/DEF1900) and from my hand, Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant (DARK/4*/Fairy/Tuner/Effect/ATK1200/DEF400) and Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar (LIGHT/4*/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK1400/DEF1200). This is for me to Special summon from the deck in Defense position, another Mimir of the Nordic Ascendant (DARK/2*/Fairy/Effect/ATK600/DEF0), another Garmr of the Nordic Beasts (DARK/4*/Beast/Effect/ATK800/DEF1900) and Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts (LIGHT/4*/Beast/Tuner/Effect/ATK1600/DEF1000).
Kaiba: This will not bode well.
Odin: I tune Guldfaxe (4*/Tuner) to Mimir (2*) and Garmr (4*) to Synchro Summon (4*+4*+2*=10*) my namesake, Odin, Father of the Aesir in attack position (LIGHT/10*/Fairy/Synchro/Effect/ATK4000/DEF3500). And since I summoned it to a zone Gullveig is pointed po, Gullveig's effect activates. My opponent cannot target a monster it points to with card effects. Since Odin is position by Gullveig's lower left side, Gullveig will also be unable to be targeted for attacks.
Joey; This is bad....
Jack: Told you
Odin: Odin, direct attack! (4000LP Damage to Gizmo)
Odin 8000/ Gizmo 4000
Odin: Gullveig, direct attack! (800LP damage to Gizmo)
Odin 8000/ Gizmo 3200
Odin: I end my turn.
Turn 4 (Odin 8000/ Gizmo 3200)
Gizmo draws a cardGizmo: I end my turn
Kaiba: He just surrendered
Turn 5 (Odin 8000/ Gizmo 3200)
Odin draws a cardOdin: Odin, direct attack for game! (4000LP damage to Gizmo)
Odin 8000/ Gizmo 0
Announcer: The winner, Odin!
Kaiba: Man's angry for sure.
Joey: After that loss from Blaze, for sure he is not pleased and wants to prove that he belongs in title contention.
Jack: Again, these Norse gods are not to be trifled with.
Kaiba: I guess...onward to our next duel then
