1st Part 1st Round: Ryu v. Mahad

Kaiba: Next up, we have Ryu v. Mahad. Ryu a Rokket user against another Dark Magician user.

Joey: I bet this must hurt for you Kaiba.

Kaiba: At least we will see some proper dueling for once

Jack: And we are now being taken backstage with our correspondent... Oh dear me... Carly Carmine

Carly: Thanks Jack. We ...wow we're live! 

Jack: Uh Carly, back to the scoop and why there was a need for a backstage interview!

Carly: Oh! So we're back here with Mahad. - Mahad walks in - So you asked for an interview, Mr. Mahad?

Mahad: Yeah! Here's the thing. I saw my mentor Pattou advance to the 2nd round but he just had to rub my face into it using Dark Magician. Scumbag after even promising that he leaves the card to me. But this time, I will face him off in the finals and humble the bastard and expose him for who he is! A shell and a mere kicking stone for duelists like me who have chosen to rise and leave that past behind! Now will you excuse me while I blaze my own trail - walks off -

Carly: Back to you, Jack!

Jack: I like the ambition on this one.

Kaiba: But for all we know, he may be a third rate duelist with a fourth rate deck. On to the announcer.

Announcer: The next duel is Ryu v. Mahad. First, Ryu!

Announcer: And his opponent, Mahad.

Announcer: Let the duel begin!

Turn 1 (Ryu 8000/ Mahad 8000)
Ryu draws a card

Ryu: I activate a quick play spell card, Quick Launch. I can special summon 1 Rokket monster from my deck but it cannot attack, also it will be destroyed during the End Phase. I select, Autorokket Dragon (DARK/ Dragon/ ATK1600/ DEF 1000). I also activate another quick play spell card, Squib Draw. I target a Rokket monster I control and destroy it to draw 2 card. I destroy Autorokket Dragon to draw 2 cards.

Ryu: I draw 2 cards. I set 2 cards face down and place a monster in defense and end my turn. At my End Phase, due to Autorokket Dragon as it was sent to the graveyard by card effect this turn, I can special summon 1 Rokket Monster except Autorokket Dragon from my Deck. I select Exploderokket Dragon in attack mode (DARK/ Dragon/ ATK2000/ DEF 2000).  I end my turn.

Kaiba: Impressive psy war tactic. Summon a high attack monster. 

Jack: Not just that, High Level monster too at level 7. This one is not about to pull punches

Turn 2 (Ryu 8000/ Mahad 8000)
Mahad draws a card

Mahad: I set a monster in defense and end my turn.

Turn 3 (Ryu 8000/ Mahad 8000)
Ryu draws a card

Ryu: I actiavte a Field Spell Card, Boot Sector Launch. Its effect states that All Rokket monsters on the field gain 300 ATK and DEF power

Exploderokket Dragon's ATK and DEF power increases to 2300 ATK and 2300 DEF.

Ryu: I flip summon Card Trooper (EARTH/ Machine/ ATK 400/ DEF 400). I activate its effect to discard the top 3 cards of my deck to the graveyard to increase Card Trooper's ATK by 500 for every card sent to the graveyard by this effect
