Duel League Ep. 1 - Mahad v. Magnus

Kaiba: After such an epic opener, we all have our 2nd match next between Mahad and the newcomer, Magnus.

Joey: Mahad as we all know is someone who's got a lot to prove and so is his foe now

Jack: Magnus out of the info we have is an Endymion user. So we got ourselves a Spellcasters Showdown

Kaiba: Onto the announcer

Announcer: For our next duel, first Mahad!

Kaiba: Someone who wants to reassert their place in the cards and put to place a newcomer. Seems like it

Joey: Well, let's see if he can indeed do that

Jack: He faltered in the First Half of the First round. We shall see if he can indeed reclaim some lost ground

Announcer: And his opponent, making his Duel League Debut, Magnus!

Kaiba: This will be quite a debut if he knocks him out

Joey: We will see these spellcasters go at it

Jack: Onto our announcer and lets see these two show what they got!

Announcer: Let the duel begin!

Mahad draws a card

Mahad: Let me show you how it's done! I set a monster and end my turn!

Turn 2 (Mahad 8000/ Magnus 8000)
Magnus draws a card

Magnus: I summon Summoner Monk (DARK/4*/Spellcaster/ATK800/DEF1600). It activates its effect when summoned to switch into Defense Position and I end my turn

Turn 3 (Mahad 8000/ Magnus 8000)
Mahad draws a card

Mahad: I will show you power, I activate a Field Spell Card, Mausoleum of the Dead Emperor, during any Main Phase, the turn player can pay 1000 Life Points x number of Tributes normally needed for a monster, maximum of 2000 and that Player can Normal Summon that monster. Like so, I pay 2000 Life Points to Normal Summon, my Ace, Dark Magician (DARK/7*/Spellcaster/ATK2500/DEF2100)

Kaiba: To have used it this early!

Mahad: I attack Summoner Monk with Dark Magician! Dark Magic!

Dark Magician destroys Summoner Monk by battle.

Mahad: I end my turn

Magnus: I set a monster and end my turn

Mahad: Is that all you got? I activate a Spell Card, Rain of Mercy! Both Players gain 1000 Life Points

Mahad 7000/ Magnus 9000

Mahad: I pay 1000 Life Points to Normal Summon Cybernetic Magician (LIGHT/6*/Spellcaster/ATK2400/DEF1000). 

Mahad 6000/ Magnus 9000

Mahad: Dark Magician, attack that facedown!

Dark Magician attacks the facedown monster, which was Apprentice Magician (DARK/2*/Spellcaster/ATK400/DEF800)
