Kaiba: After 22 duels, we have this duel left. Old school v. New School.

Joey: Blaze the Fire King User and God slayer v. Irvine, the First half of the First Round survivor.

Jack: These two were able to best their foes and here we see possibly a hard fought battle for the ultimate prize, the Duel League Championship.

Kaiba: We shall see who will survive. Announcer!

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is for the Duel League Championship! First, Irvine!

Kaiba: As mentioned in the pre-show, Irvine gets to start first because the order was based on the semi-final duels where Irvine had the most amount of life points left as opposed to Blaze.

Jack: But he thrives most in either starting positions. He can be first or second but still pull off wins.

Joey: This is one odds on favorite. Gamblers will for sure bet on this one!

Announcer: And his opponent, Blaze!

Kaiba: This one, was able to beat down the one who eliminated AK. I am for sure confident maybe this one will be Duel League Champion.

Joey: Well, never say never Kaiba. This one for sure may be able to stop the Link Summons from happening

Jack: We shall see who will win. These two have shown their worth. Any one of them could be the next champion.

Announcer: Let the duel begin!

Turn 1 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Irvine draws a card

Irvine: I set a monster and place one card face down. I activate from my hand a Continuous Spell Card, Burden of the Mighty! Each face-up monster my opponent controls loses 100 ATK times its level. I end my turn.

Jack: Starting the handicap this early!

Kaiba: Can still go either way

Turn 2 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Blaze draws a card

Blaze: I set three cards facedown and a monster in defense. I end my turn.

Turn 3 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Irvine draws a card

Irvine: I set a monster in facedown defense and end my turn.

Joey: What's going on?

Kaiba: Ah Wheeler. Your fourth rate duelist mind is showing and reeking this duel. It's strategy. He who attacks first will lose.

Turn 4 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Blaze draws a card

Blaze: I set a monster in defense and end my turn

Turn 5 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Irvine draws a card

Irvine: I end my turn

Boos were beginning to shower the arena due to the defensive and stalling moves

Kairi: Clearly these idiots are fourth rate arm chair duelists!

Turn 6 (Irvine 8000/ Blaze 8000)
Blaze draws a card

Blaze: I summon Fire Hand (FIRE/4*/Pyro/ATK1600/DEF1000)

Due to Burden of the Mighty
Fire Hand ATK: 1600 -> 1200
