Backstage after Xavi v. Strike
Irvine was cautiously watching from the monitor at the back when Carly came by and approached the Duel League Champion.

Carly: Irvine, we all saw the duel. Any comments on possible challengers?

Irvine: Well, we all saw what a bad hand can do. Sadly, Xavi talks a big game but is unable to back it up. Strike however, quite persistent wanting another shot at the title. I may make a decision on possible contenders, but suffice to say, Xavi was worth watching, just that his deck worked against him.

Carly: How about Pat?

Irvine: Ah yes, well, he seems to be worthy and maybe, just maybe I will put the title up against him soon. I got a match up next and....

Xavi suddenly walks in and interrupts Irvine.

Xavi: Hey! I still deserve that shot. I was done dirty earlier!

Irvine: Do not blame your bad hand on someone else. But right now, I have to deal with a disrespectful newcomer. I will deal with you later. - walks off -

Xavi then appears frustrated but suddenly Vade walks in. Xavi steps back in fear but tries to regain composure.

Xavi: You're the guy who was able to turn things around. The one who was still able to squeeze out a victory... I need to learn your ways!

Vade: It will not be easy.  But I see in you an anger, a rage worthy to empty out in order to be a vessel of beings greater than us. I shall see you in the next episode, try to resist or retain yourself by then...

As Vade said this, the lights went out then as it went back on, Vade disappeared and Xavi looked all confused.

Commentary area
Kaiba: So, we now have some matches for next episode. We have another edition of the battle of the heroes in Hiro v. Fenix.

Joey: Let's not forget the match made earlier between Vade and Xavi.

Jack: So far, all we can gather but right now, we got ourselves a main event. This is a non-title match but this will be more than a title, but as we heard from our champion, this will be for respect.

Kaiba: Respect? We saw dominance with just 1 monster and I bet it wasn't the ace card

Joey: Kaiba, Duke just went all out crazy and offended....

Kaiba: Spoken like a third rate duelist.

Jack: Anyway, onto the announcer

Announcer: This is our Main Event of the evening...

Announcer: First, the Duel League Champion, Irvine! (Rank: 5; Record: 1-0)

Kaiba: Well, here comes the people's champion as he calls himself

Joey: Hardest worker in the room no doubt. But tonight it is not about that gold on him.

Jack: More of respect after what Duke did in his debut earlier

Joey: I still don't see why he had to face him tonight? Oh well
