Box of human

Background: Police AU, Akaashi is at the precinct instead of the lab.

Akaashi was waiting in Bokuto's office to get lunch he heard a shriek came from the lobby. He walked out and saw a box that was leaking some fluid. He walked over and put on some gloves. The other detectives in the station took notice and started watching.

Akaashi gently peeled back the flaps on the top of the box to reveal a dead body inside. The body was squished and in a ball laying on its side. He called Konoha and started his evaluation.

"Alright! What is going on?" -Bokuto

"I am afraid we will have to skip lunch. It seems that a case has come to us this time." -Akaashi

Konoha walked in, saw the body, and turned around.

"Get over here." -Akaashi

"It smells nasty. How long do you think?" -Konoha

"A week maybe."

"Try a few days."

"What, how?"

Konoha took tweezers and grabbed a maggot from the box.

"Someone put them there on purpose. It sped up the rate of decay." -Konoha

Akaashi looked at who it was for.

"Who is Tsukishima Hotaru?" -Komi

"It's read as Tsukishima Kei." -Konoha

(The kanji for Kei can be read as Hotaru. I know too much about them.)

"He is a Paleontologist who works at the natural history museum, specializes in dinosaur bones. He wrote a few papers." -Akaashi

"And we had a college course together. It was over the summer and mostly focused on how muscles and bones connected and how they would look by just looking at the bone."

"He isn't well-liked, but I think he is hilarious."

"He is a total jackass!"

"In a police station Konoha."

"What is going on?" -Yamiji

The chief inspector looked at the body and the two scientists.

"Carry on. I'll take this case." -Yamiji

"What why?" -Bokuto

"It's been too long."

Yamiji stared into the distance

"What is this?! Some sort of thriller anime?!" -Bokuto

"Come on, let's visit Tsukishima. If you want to come you may Bokuto." -Yamiji
