A/N: Trigger warning - implied human death.
(FRISK POV)
Chara and I walked on for a while, exchanging short stories about our cultures. We were soon interrupted by some short monsters that looked similar to a tiny volcano. All three of them were wearing tiny leather jackets, despite not having arms.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!"
"Yo! Yo! Yo!"
"We're the Vulkin Squad! And we're here to spread the positivity!"
"Positivity!"
"Yeah, positivity!" A chorus of 'Hey!' And 'Yo!' Erupted (pun definitely intended) as the leader did a sweet little dance.
"Oh hey look, Vulkins." Chara said bluntly.
"Chara. My fragile heart. I can't take it. They are too cute."
"You!" The leader gestures to Chara's arms. "You look hurt, we can help with some of our..."
"Healing!"
"Magma!" Chara's eyes widened slightly.
"Frisk," Chara whisper-yelled to me. "If that magma touches me, I will get third-degree burns." I turned back to the Vulkins.
"Hey, you are doing an amazing thing, spreading all of this positivity around, and while he would really appreciate your healing magma, I'm afraid that he's actually allergic."
"Oh... No, yeah! That's totally fine!"
"It's cool!"
"Understood!"
"We respect the Hotland out of that! But, we wanna give you this anyway!" The other Vulkins struggled to rummage through the leader's pockets before presenting a completely normal, average rock with zero other special qualities.
"Thanks?" Chara said, grabbing the rock. "It's... warm."
"You are welcome!"
"Yo! Yo! Yo!"
"Hey! Hey! Hey!"
"Vulkin squad out!" They waddled away.
"...Vulkins are weird." Chara stated, pocketing the completely ordinary rock.
After a few more minutes of walking, we came across a road made of conveyor belts. From the looks of it, no one, not even the locals, have gone down this path. Even Chara was apprehensive of going down it, though, he didn't know why.
After a few minutes of convincing, Chara agreed to go with me. We stood on the belt while it gently carried us to a small cave entrance.
We walk inside, only to find—
"Oh my god." I covered my mouth.
"This is..." There was a dented frying pan sitting on a large patch of dried blood. There were scratches along the walls as if blades had hit them. It's obvious that all of this was undisturbed for a very long time.
I looked closer at the frying pan. It was made by a human company. The amount of blood splattered everywhere, and the way it was arranged, definitely implied that someone had died here.
"Undyne said that King Asgore had 6 SOULs, but I never really put much thought into it. This is horrible."
"..."
"Chara?"
"This is what he's done." Chara's font changed. It was sharp and rash. His words shook as he seethed with rage. Chara walked over and brushed his fingers over the pool of dried blood. "Children. Mom said they were children. He did this to a child."
