[CHARA POV]

I scrambled over to a mirror. I touched the eyepatch. No. I-I can't have this, the left eye he... I tried to take the eyepatch off, but my left eye started to burn and I had to put it back on. Undyne had one, but...
     "Chara are you—"
     "I-I-I—"
     "Hey, hey it's okay."
"Frisk, I feel seasick."
"What? Seasick? But we're not on a boat."
"I don't like..." My hand brushed over my left eye.
"Why? Because you look like a—"
"Yes."
"Oh. What's wrong with pirates?" I have to tell her. But... Am I ready to tell her? But she deserves to know. Why can't I just tell her? "Chara?"
"I haven't told you everything about my past."
     "What do you mean?"
"When I was little, the first 3 years of my life I spent in Venezuela; In South America. I lived a quiet life there. I had no friends, I was distant, I spent most of my free time alone. No one bothered me, I didn't bother anyone else." My voice was starting to falter, and my form started to break. My left eye burned.
"So what happened?" I looked up at Frisk.
"My small village was attacked and raided by pirates. Not like the stereotypes, but the leader had an eyepatch over his left eye. My people were taken, used as slaves, used as bait, used for pleasuring the crew. It was horrible. We were going to be sold off to random people, used as objects. We were held on the top deck, in direct view of the leader at all times. Over the course of the month I spent on that ship,"
"Like the kinds with the sails?"
"No. Have you ever seen a boat?"
"N-no."
"I-I managed to get free of my bonds when no one was looking. The leader turned around and saw me. He pulled out a gun, without thinking I bit his hand and took the gun..." Frisk put her hand on my shoulder, only for it to pass through.
"Chara..." I turned away. I grimaced at the memory.
"He tried to take it back from me, and I shot him through the skull." Frisk went pale, Alphys pretended to do some work on a nearby table. "I saw his eye roll back into his head, blood gushing out of the hole I put through his left eye. He fell to the ground. I felt it pool at my feet. It was warm. The recoil pushed me back. The crew member all rushed to see what was happening. Without thinking I killed every single one of them." My left eye was filled with an unimaginable amount of pain. Almost if there was a hole shot through it. "The gun ran out of ammo, the sound of the gunshots, the smell of blood and gun smoke. I carefully freed everyone from their bonds too, everyone was in shock from what I just did. I was silent until the boat hit shore. From there, we walked for one day until we settled down into a new place. I was taught English. From then everyone hated me, I saved their lives and they resented me for it!" I felt myself start to lose control. I'm not the other Chara, I'm me. Frisk started to back away. "Great, now you're leaving too? Don't you get it? We're the same. We both have killed innocent people. Ended numerous lives. Don't act scared and blameless." Frisk lashed out.
"I'm not!" I flinched. "I'm backing away because you have a gun in your hands!" I looked at my hands. I was holding a single handgun, silver with an ornate handle. I looked back up. Frisk was 5 feet taller than me. I felt the warmth of the sun on my face. Without hesitation,

Bang.
