(FRISK POV)

     The shape shivered and writhed before letting out an ear-piercing scream as it turned into a bird-like creature. It's neck was 4 feet long at least, and it's torso indistinguishable from its spindly legs. It's head was almost twice the size of its body, and it's beak separated and traveled freely around it for a moment, but reattached on the other side of its head. It had long, curling horns and it's single large eye gnashes it's teeth. It's neck sometimes separated from its head and body before reconnecting in an instant , as if it was trying to decapitate itself, but something just wouldn't let it. The color flickered out of the room.

     * ,

    Chara got mostly upright, but he couldn't understand what he was seeing. I ACTed, mostly to distract it.

     * Check       *Pick on
  * Mystify     *Clean
*Hum          *Pray

     I Checked. The only sound that came out of me was a strained whimper. Butterflies erupted from this thing's mouth, and swarmed Chara. They didn't seem to be hurting him, but he wasn't able to do much of anything. I ACTed again.

     This time, I knelt down on the ground. I didn't know what was going on, this thing's existence terrified me, and confused me. God... Gods? If you can hear me... please help... I don't know what to do... I want to help this thing, I can feel it suffering.... Silence. The bird seemed to remember its  conscience, as it backed away from us instead of attacking. Before it tried to run away, it's from shifted, becoming sharp and abstract for a few seconds before returning to normal, if you could even call it that. It was enraged, blinded by itself.

     Some of the butterflies around Chara become sharp magical bullets, and shot at me. They weren't very accurate, most of them missing except for a few which caught me off-guard. I found an opportunity to ACT again. I didn't know which one to use, they all seemed strange and unnatural. I did a neat trick I learned where you use your fingers to make it look as if you were taking one of your fingers off. It seemed to be taken aback. It looked down at one of its wings. It violently ripped it off with it's beak and reattached it to it's other side. It's body liquefied and returned to its previous shape. The whole time, it let out a sounds which almost sounded like breathing. It sounded more like a pained, raspy groan than breathing. Though, any mannerisms it tried to mimic were... wrong, for lack of a better term.

"C-close enough? G-good job." I said. It lashed out at the reassurance and attacked again. The creature turned it's neck into a chain and swung it's head around like a mace. Again, it hit Chara while trying to attack me, and that's when I snapped. "How dare you attack an opponent while they're down? What kind of thing are you? Leave us alone, you melodramatic, indecisive, mood-swinging, amorphous freak!" It froze as soon as I started yelling at it. It's beak curled into an impossible smile as it re-absorbed the butterflies.

"SRoimbebointe friinbablilty gceotusraigte."

I quickly showed it MERCY, and it retreated up into the ceiling.

"What... got into you?" I took a couple deep breaths.

"It was an ACTion I had. The thing reminded me of some of the Royal Guardsman I talked with after your announcement, back at the castle. So I just did what made them get along with me. Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
