"Kid, I don't know what you're goin on about, you walked up here, and immediately tried to jump off the edge. Can't let you do that, I'm afraid."
"I see... But I need to get across this gap somehow."
"Can't help ya. Would if I could, but there's no way this gap is disproportionately sized. Sorry. You can take the ferry though, just through that corridor." The bird pointed behind me to a branching path I hadn't noticed
"Thanks... I think." True to his word, the Riverperson was there, in his ferry. "Um, excuse me?"
"Tra la la, Such fine stories in the water, today."
"I need to get to—"
"I know where you need to go, Fate is a fickle thing, Tra la." He gestured for me to get on his boat, and I did. The boat set off to this magical... who-knows-where, and I was just along for the ride.
