(CHARA POV)
I woke up next to frisk, which was a bit embarrassing, but it was nice. It was very early in the morning so I was the only one awake. Frisk looks so cute when she is asleep. I can become solid if I want to and right now Frisk was cuddled right up next to me. I stared at the ceiling. I felt myself blush, couldn't tell you why, but I knew that this is good. I'm not going to tell Frisk about my feelings because a.) we just met and b.) she might not feel the same way. I miss mom, but if I just come out the whole world is going to be reset and then I'll have to deal with that all over again. Frisk woke up and She looked around sleepily. She then looked back at me.
"Mornin' sleepyface." She got all flustered.
"Uh, um I-I didn't mean to fall asleep, you were just warm and, I—" she cut herself off and turned an elegant shade of maroon. "Uh, we-we didn't like..." She pushed her fingers together and looked down at the floor.
"Oh!" I started to blush too, "No, no we didn't. I mean that would be weird, and technically I'm dead, and I don't even know how old you are so... As far as I know you are like 13 sooo." She blushes at the thought and gets a little angry.
"I'm 17, thank you!" She was short enough that I couldn't tell the difference.
"Well it's been 13 years soo... I'm about 18, I think. But even then, you still wouldn't be old enough and..." We kind of just sat there for a while in silence, both thinking about our words.
"Welp, I'm going to go get some coffee, wanna join me?" I held out my hand and she took it, then we went to go get coffee downstairs. The house I grew up in, all the way in New Home, was a near exact replica of this house, and the same sorts of items are still in the cupboards. We made some coffee and sat down, I added chocolate to mine and she added milk to hers. We drank our coffee in silence.
"So, Frisk, how do you like Mom, er, Toriel?"
"She's nice. I wish I had a mom like her growing up."
"So how was your mom like?"
"Oh, my m-mom... died... when I was, um, little so I don't remember much other than she was a bad mommy. I guess thats what you get when you mess up in the real world." She wavered a bit in her words. Strange.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Frisk. But hey, don't worry. We are down here away from all of those garbage humans, in my eyes, monsters are a lot cooler." I screwed up pretty bad there, Frisk just glared at me. "Um, er, I mean you're cool! I guess that's proof that not all humans are bad." She softened her look a bit. Guess she's pretty irritable in the morning, either that or, I'm just more of a dick than I thought.
Just then, in the nick of time, I was saved by the Mom.
. . .
She walked out of her room and sat down at the table.
"I made coffee, miss Toriel, you want some?"
"Coffee sounds lovely." Ooh, I should tell her. I leaned over to Frisk,
"Hey, you should ask her for some jokes."
     "What? Why?"
     "Why what, my child?"
"O-oh um, never mind. Um, how about some jokes?"
"I've got a couple," She pulled out a small bookelet from her robe pockets. "*ahem* why did the skeleton have no one to dance with?"
"Because he had no body to dance with?"
"No, because he was bonely!" She hooted with laughter, man I've missed hearing her laugh. Frisk had a small smile on her face, it was nice. "Oh what's this? It's circled. 'Why did the ghost cry?'" Her expression saddened. "'Because he missed his mother.'" Frisk looked at me, then back to mom, it looked like mom looked at me but I wasn't sure. She had glassy eyes. "Well, I think it's time for some cleaning up, you are finished with those, right?" She pointed to the cups.
"O-oh, um yeah." Toriel picked them up. Frisk looked at me funny.
"Hey, um, miss Toriel? Your house is nice, but, is this the entire underground?" Toriel sighs.
"My child, I was hoping you wouldn't ask but, no, this is just the ruins, there is more outside. Pathetic, is it not? In my 10 years of staying here, I cannot save a single child. If you leave, they... Asgore will take your SOUL. If you must leave, you will do so before night, but if you do... do not return." Then mom walked away. Frisk had a sad look on her face.
"I-I didn't know." But mom had already walked out of the room. Frisk made off to go find her, but I stayed. As Frisk walked away, I felt a tugging feeling in my core, in my SOUL. I decided to listen to the universe and follow frisk. Frisk was crying violently and mom was hugging her tightly.
     "I-I-I'm soooorrry!!*sob*"
"Hush, child, it's okay." It was pretty sad to watch. I went back up to our room and flopped down on the bed. Poor Frisk, so much sadness and stuff. I wish she would feel happy soon.
. . .
A couple hours later, Toriel was sending us off with some leftover pie, a backpack, a first-aid kit, a pocket knife for 'utility, not fighting', some extra clothes, and some magical matches. We were all set, and mom gave Frisk a hug. We walked outside the ruins doors, into a snowy forest. I remember this place vaguely. Frisk got cold so I gave her my jacket, I may still feel temperature, but I don't mind the cold. We walked  down the forest and came to a very wide, inefficient gate. We heard footsteps behind us, crunching in the snow, we were, admittedly, paralyzed in fear.
"Human. Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand." Frisk complied and when she grabbed on to the monsters hand.
