(FRISK POV)

I stumbled and fell onto the hardwood floor of Grillby's. sans picked me up and dusted me off.
"woah, kid, you okay?" I laughed a little.
"Yeah, I've just never taken a shortcut before..."
"heh, yeah it takes some getting used to." sans started to walk through Grillby's. "hey, everyone."
     "Hey sans! (Hi sans!)"
     "Greetings, sans."
"Hiya sansy~" We got up to the bar, then a blue haired monster asked sans a question.
"Hey sans, weren't you just here for breakfast a few minutes ago?"
"nah, i haven't had breakfast in at least half an hour, you must be thinking of brunch." The bar echoed with laughter.
"Hello, sans." Grillby was a glasses-wearing monster made of fire. He wore a white shirt and a black vest.
"Yeah, Mr. Grillby? How do you not burn your clothes?" He glanced up at me.
     "Practice."
"here, get comfy." I sat down on one of the bar stools, same as sans and— Pfffffffffffffffffftttttttttttttt. "whoops, watch where you sit down, sometimes weirdos put whoopie cushions on the seats." Right. Weirdos. "anyway, let's chat." sans ordered an alcoholic drink and turned to me. "what do you think, of my brother?"
"He's pretty cool, I'll admit." He stared down at his drink.
"yeah, he's the coolest. you'd be cool too if you wore that outfit every day. he'd only take that thing off if he absolutely had to. oh well, at least he washes it." sans looked up at me. "And by that I mean he showers with it."
"Pfft." Sans took a swig and set the empty cup down on the bar.
"anyway, cool or not. you have to agree papyrus tries real hard. like how he keeps trying to be part of the royal guard."
"Yeah, I've heard him talking about that. I've even met the captain." His eyebrow raised (idk how, skeletons don't have eyebrows)
"you've met undyne? well get this, one day he went to her house, and begged her to let him be in it."
"I assume she said no?"
"of course she did, it was midnight. but the next day, she woke up and saw him out there, still waiting."
"And I thought I have Determination."
"right? seeing his dedication, she decided to give him warrior training. it's... uh, still a work in progress." We sat there for a minute, in silence. "oh yeah, i wanted to ask you something," A wave of purple and light blue magic swirled in a flowing orb of color around us. I caught a glimpse outside, time has stopped. sans' eyesockets went black. "have you ever heard of a talking flower?" Flowey. How would sans know Flowey? "that expression tells me you have. ive never seen it myself, but papyrus has. he told me something interesting a while ago. sometimes, when he's all alone, a golden flower appears and whispers things to him. flattery... advice... encouragement..." he looked up at me. "predictions... like he knows what's going to happen before it does, in excruciating detail. almost as if—"
"As if he experienced it before."
"right."
"I've met that little douchebag before, and something tells me he has a lot more DT then every other monster."
"ive been thinking about it too, if he can use red magic."
"I certainly wouldn't rule it out, DT is a fickle thing. You can use red magic without even thinking about it..."
"yeah... keep an eye out, ok?"
"Yeah, ok." The magic sphere dissipated around us. sans took a deep breath.
"listen, kid... i know this kind of stuff is hard to talk about with me, considering our... rocky relationship..." I looked down at my lap. "but i got to thinkin, and my brother seems to like ya." sans tapped on the bar and was served another drink. "and i was holdin a grudge on ya, because i hated when you killed all of my friends." Regret poured over me like Hotland. "but, uh, they don't look very dead to me."
     "W-what?"
"i see now that you regret your actions, and i know you won't do it again. it hurt so bad seeing everyone torn away... but you went back on that. i see in your SOUL that you are LV 1, not 20. so something obviously changed between you killing me and right now."
"I... I don't understand." He scratched his skull.
"listen, the point im tryna make, kid, is that you want to move on from all that, and you can't do that with me dragging you down. so kiddo, i... i forgive you." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I couldn't even move. "...kid? are you giving me the silent treatment or something because—" I hugged sans and started to cry. I didn't know why, but I couldn't stop crying. When he said he forgave me, I felt this burden in my SOUL loosen. It hasn't gone away, but the weight of my sins on my back lessened just a little, and I couldn't keep my tears back. "woah, hey... it's okay..."

     "it's ok kid."
