Breathless (Book 1&2)

Harder to Breathe #15.2

Hi! I hope you're all doing well.

If you all noticed, these new chapters (since book 2 started) are actually "new" talaga. New characters were introduced too. But I also decided to re-use/retain other scenes and lines so that the familiarity is still there.

For those who have read Breathless before then nag re-read ngayon, please do not be confused. (Thank you BTW). If there are changes, it's only normal since I am currently writing it following the "current" plot running inside my crazy mind.

Why I did that? Well, simply because I can't clearly remember na what I actually wrote five years ago. Sorry, sign of aging na ata. But rest assured, I will try my best to entertain you all.

If you have read something and wala na siya ngayon sa latest updates, wag tayong malito haha. Okay pa tayo. Chill lang tayo.

For those who welcomed me again, thank you ng marami talaga! I still want to see you all until the end of this story.

"H-Huh? Eh?"

Tumingin ako kay Ron pero ang bakla tumingin din sa malayo. Ewan ko kung bakit pero yung pawis ko sa noo, ga-munggo na ang laki.

"W-Wala. Nagkumustahan lang kami ni Ron, halos isang linggo na rin kasi kaming di nagkita at nanghingi lang din ako ng updates from Manila." Tuloy tulong kong paliwanag pero ewan ko kung paniniwalaan niya.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng tumayo siya ng maayos sabay bulsa ng dalawang kamay. He glanced at Ron who was still awkwardly smiling at him. Pinanlakihan ko ng mata si Ron, sa kinikilos niya baka lalo pang mag-isip ng kung ano si Cloud.

We had our lunch together. Dinala nila Kagawad yung pagkain na niluto nila para sa amin. They are really nice, actually, life saver sila! I don't even think about my dirty laundries kasi meron na ding nag aasikaso nun for us, we'll just have to pay.

I noticed that during lunch break, meron na kaming naririnig na kulog from a distance. Engr. Sef stood up too to check the sky.

"Sir!" Tawag niya ng attention kay Cloud.
"Please secure mo muna yung bodega," I heard him say. Tumayo na siya and he didn't finish his food nanaman. He talked to their intern and asked something. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, it's about the weather.

"Ron, may bagyo bang darating?" I asked him while still eating.

"Before ako umalis ng Manila, wala namang news about sa bagyo pero may namumuong habagat," sagot naman niya.

Cloud's team didn't finish their food. They went out and secured the things that needed to be secured. Nakita ko din na pina half-day na niya yung mga workers.

I looked at the sky and it's getting dark na rin pero para magpauwi ng mga trabahador ng ganito kaaga. Is it really that bad?

I heard few droplets started to pour and then unti unti dumadami at lumalaki yung patak. Napahawak ako kay Ron when suddenly may nag flash na red light and loud thunderclaps followed afterwards.

"S-Shit, sobrang lapit lang!" I cursed. That was the first time I heard and experienced something like this. Sa sobrang lakas nun, I wonder kung merong natamaan ng kidlat dito lang sa malapit.

Rain started to pour really hard. Kami lang nila Ron at Khim ang natira sa loob ng office and I don't even have the strength to look outside thru the window dahil sunod sunod ang malulutong na kidlat at kulog.
