Harder to Breathe #22.2
Cloud
"KUYA!" Cielo and Pogi were standing at the front gate waiting for me to arrive. It's raining really hard now and Cielo can't hide her worries after seeing me walking all wet.
Sinalubong niya ako habang hawak ang payong na binili rin niya sa convenience store kanina. It's the same umbrella that I bought when Noreen and I went to convenience store in Sitio San Miguel.
"Anong nangyari?" agad niyang tanong sa akin matapos akong payong-an. Ah. She's worries about what happened back there more than my current state. "Kuya, tell me!" pangungulit niya.
"Stop it. You'll rip my shirt,"
"Kuya, please!"
I had a long warm bath but it didn't help. I was drying my hair with a towel and walking out of the bath room when I saw Cielo comfortably lying on my bed. My headache turned into migraine after seeing her face.
"Sleep now,"
"Tell me a good bedtime story first," she mockingly replied. She handed me my shirt while moving her eyebrows up and down. There's a silly smile on her face na kanina pa rin di mabura bura.
"Kuya, did you just decide to break your own principles and be bad man for once?" Kumunot ang noo ko dahil sa tanong niya.
"Please speak English," I replied and she laughed really hard.
"Okay, let me rephrase it. Kuya, kabit ka ba?"
I pulled the pillow she was hugging saka hinampas iyon sa kanya. She shouted and kicked me pero nakaiwas ako agad.
"You and your vocabulary," sita ko sa kanya. "I would never do that." I added.
Cielo's face became serious. She sat straight habang tinitignan ang bawat galaw ko. She's really curious and if stare could kill, I'm already dead.
"Kuya," she called me, I looked at her. "Please tell me, tell me what happened between you and Ate Noreen."
"Huh? Anong pumasok sa isip mo?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"I just want to know! And tingin ko hindi lang ako ang may gustong makaalam! Why did you two break up? I want to know your side!"
"It was all because I'm weaker than her," I replied. "There's nothing more to it."
Akala ko mananahimik na siya but she stood up and pulled my arm again. Akala ko mapuputol iyon dahil sa ginagawa niya.
"Cielo, you're not a kid anymore," sita ko ulit sa kanya but she's not listening. She was whining and it's irritating.
"Kuya, please. Ikwento mo na!!!"
