Cloud
I sent Noreen home. I wasn't able to stay in her unit long enough to wait for her to fall sleep but I know she'll sleep early too after this tiring day. I didn't stay in my unit, instead I went home at doon ko nadatnan si Ate Chloe sa may sala, umiinom ng wine.
"Haven't you had enough?" I asked and she looked at me. She smiled and offered me a drink but I refused. "Where's Cielo?" I asked her, she didn't come with us because she doesn't like wearing gowns.
"I think she's sleeping," Ate Chloe answered me. "Mom and Dad are upstairs, bakit umuwi ka ata?" tanong niya.
"I want to ask you something." Sagot ko naman.
"What is it my sweet little brother?"
"Summer? Private resort? What is your diabolical plan?" I asked her and she cracked up.
"Diabolical agad?" sagot niya sa akin saka nilapag ang wine glass "I just want us to enjoy."
"Hindi kami sasama ni Noreen." sagot ko
"Why? Dahil ba andoon si Brick?" tanong niya "You know, I love how Noreen affects you. You've learned how to show emotions these days"
"Stop blabbering." I replied, she cracked up again. "You know what happened." Seryoso kong sabi.
"Exactly!" sagot niya saka ako tinalikuran. "Why don't you forget about it and be like brothers again?" tanong niya. I looked away.
"I don't know when did Tita Haley and the rest came home from New York but don't you think this is the best chance to catch up with each other? Bihira na lang tayong magsama-sama, ah!" hindi ako kumibo matapos niyang magsalita.
"Is that the real reason?" I asked her. She looked at me but this time, she's serious. I hate to see her face like that. It's the face she's showing whenever she's in her business mode.
"Yes, Love." She replied but she's obviously lying.
My sister hates having argument with someone but she loves seeing two people confronting in front of her while she's drinking her glass of wine.
"Ate."
She sighed and walked near me. She patted my shoulder and flashed a smile.
"You should go, I saw Noreen's face, and she's obviously excited." I shook my head and started to walk and go upstairs. I was on my third step when I heard her shouted.
"I'LL INVITE MIA TOO! IT WILL BE MORE EXCITING YOU KNOW!"
Sometimes, I wished I never had an older sister.
